Great jacket. Bad product description.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I am giving this jacket a 5 star review because like most Bjorn Daehlie nordic ski apparel, it is pretty much perfect. The choice in material, the fit, the look. My only complaint is the internal media pocket. Perhaps in Norway they are still using Nokia flip phones which might fit in this undersized inner chest pocket, but an iPhone 7, not even close. In fact not much fits in there except for maybe a nano and a chapstick. Now, as for the product description here: what is this so-called detachable hood you speak of? This jacked has no hood whatsoever which is actually a good thing because I would detach it and probably never use it. Perhaps whoever wrote this product description might want to step away from their MacBook and actually put the piece on and look at it. There is no hood. Also, against is spelled a-g-a-i-n-s-t, and that is a good thing, because the windproof chest panel does in fact protect against brisk breezes.

Fast

This jacket makes you faster. I don't know how, but it does. The elbow ergonomics are the best in the ski business, you don't always have to monkey with the sleeves for a smooth feel with skating. The softshell is warm enough for a cold training, but versatile enough for a 25 degree sunny classic ski. The pockets are a nice add for some money and a cell phone. This is by far the nicest training piece I have ever owned. Trim, but not scary trim. I have wide shoulders and a normal midsection, went medium, and it looks sharp!

Harsh weather training jacket

I look good in this jacket. It's been a great heavier softshell for training in harsh cold conditions, and I've worn it out a couple times when I'm not skiing. The jacket definitely gets noticed on and off the trail.

FYI - Slim fit, but with a lot of stretch.
