Any girafficorn will appreciate this versatile tent.
Big Agnes gathered together a ragtag team of women from its staff with decades of combined experience backpacking, mountain biking, rafting, and other outdoor pursuits, and it enlisted them to help design the ultimate tent for any adventurer. The result was the lightweight, tough, and efficient Tufly SL Plus 2-Person 3-Season Tent. As a bonus, proceeds from the sales of this tent go to Shejumps.com, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities.
Steep sidewall architecture and symmetrical cross-pole placement increases head and shoulder space without adding bulk. The symmetrical design also makes it easy and intuitive to pitch. Strategically placed mesh allows you to gaze at the stars and enjoy refreshing breezes without compromising privacy. A fast-pitch option makes it a solid choice for minimalist backpackers and ultralight backpackers. Plus, one of the two doors opens along the entire sidewall of the tent so you can pitch it with trekking poles to create an open-air awning.

Spacious for backpacking
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This tent have plenty of room for 2, even when one of you is over 6'.
It's a little on the heavier side for 2 person backpacking tents, but that's the price you pay for more room.
Perfect size for 2
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I recently took the Tufly out for a 4 day backpacking/climbing trip in the Wind River Range and it's definitely one of my favorite 2 person options. The number one reason is because it is legitimately a 2 person tent. It is the same length as the Copper Spur but 53 inches wide on both sides as compared to 52/42 on the Copper Spur. It also has 3 more inches of head space, creating a really great room for hanging out in. I really liked the door design and while the pole design is a little more involved, it's not any harder to setup. It is a little bit on the heavy side for a backpacking tent, but not overly so when splitting the weight. The ability to pitch out an awning with trekking poles is also really rad and the color is really pleasant to wake up to in the am. My opinion is that this is the perfect 2 PERSON base camp tent for an extended stay in the alpine. The women of Big Agnes did an awesome job with this one.
