Room to steamroll.
You could pull a heavy third wheel around, blow money on fuel, and have to deal with the hassle of trying to find a place to park, or you could just get the Big Agnes Tensleep 6-Person 3-Season Station Tent and keep your family camping trips simple. As the largest offering in Big Agnes' Tensleep lineup, this luxuriously large six-pack tent gives your boys plenty of space to practice their Greco-Roman wrestling skills when you're walled up during a nasty rain storm, and provides the whole family plenty of space to spread out and catch some Zs during your annual road trip, even if Ricky and Reggie can't stop grappling.
The fly and floor of the Tensleep are made from polyester ripstop fabric that's been treated with a water-resistant PU coating and finished with fully taped seams to seal out moisture. Two large doors mean you won't have to crawl over five people when you have to take a whiz in the middle of the night, and two huge vestibules offer plenty of space to store gear out of the rain or set up a couple of camp chairs; the shelter and relative solitude will be appreciated when you need a sip of whiskey to relax as the kids tire themselves out chasing each other around camp like a bunch of hooligans.

Big Agnes Tensleep Station Series Tents
You’ll be amazed at how Tensleep Station tents garner more campground ‘tent-envy’ than anything else pitched. The spacious front vestibule has mesh windows that create a screened-in porch, or zip up for more privacy. This might just be the best place to sip your whiskey, read a book, or hang out with the kids while the rest of your posse naps in the back. With a back door and vestibule, there’s enough space for a mean game of Twister. Tensleep Station tents are as luxurious as they are practical.

6+ person tropical storm shelter
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The Big Agnes Tensleep Station 6 is a spacious, rain proof, wind resistant and versatile tent. With several available configurations to vent this tent and roll up the fly, practically any weather suits this tent well. I chose this tent for it's combination of materials and 4 pole design. The main tent body uses 3 poles that are approximately 1/2' thick each pole. The vestibule has it's own pole. Oh, about the vestibule: The floor space accommodates a floor saver for a 2 person tent! The vestibule is also nearly bug proof with some covering of small holes in corner where vestibule meets the main body. Our family of 4 stayed in this tent for 9 nights. The first night, torrential rains began 5 minutes after setting up the tent. Without time to guy out the tent, I was only slightly concerned. However, the tent was completely dry in the morning. The rain was very hard -I live in North Carolina where hard rains are common. In fact, after the trip, the tent was setup in my yard a day before Hurricane Matthew arrived. I was inland to the point we received about 6 to 8 inches of rain in 24 hours and the winds were gusting to 45 MPH, regularly. The tent was fully staked and guyed out. It withstood the winds and rain, remaining dry. The 3 pole design of the main body is monumental in significance to withstand these winds. The 4 pole for the vestibule is also helpful because it can be under tension when you attach the guy lines to the ground. Venting is great and there are many internal pockets low and high. We had room for a small cot, 2 adults on sleeping pads and a full pack-n-play for our toddler plus more room. I could see packing 4 adults plus 4-6 kids in the tent (with vestibule). I would feel the utmost confidence setting up this tent for extended trips in the Outer Banks of North Carolina after facing strong winds and rains during the hurricane. Tips: Velcro fly to tent poles before tightening fly buckles; purchase floor saver; bring tarp/floor saver equivalent to 2 person tent for vestibule;. bring a few extra stakes to secure vestibule mud flaps to ground; secure mid-body tent fly guy out point for extra venting and rain splash protection. Enjoy!
