Down that's not afraid of water.

The Big Agnes Women's Roxy Ann 15 Sleeping Bag mixes lightweight loft with weather-resistant capability for camping or backpacking in nasty conditions. DownTek treats the lofty down insulation with water-resistant protection to help it retain its loft and warmth in rainy weather and moisture-riddled environments. Insotect Flow Construction optimizes insulation by strategically placing vertical chambers with Flow Gates to minimize shifting and to ensure warmth where you need it most.

For a roomy, rectangular-shaped bag, the Roxy Ann is surprisingly light and compressible for backpacking trips. Big Agnes also equipped this bag with a draft tube around the hood and a full-length zipper to keep brisk air at bay. Internal loops let you attach separate liners for extra comfort, and there are pockets for pillows and car keys. Since Big Agnes doesn't insulate the bottom of bags, be sure to pair this sleeping bag with a 20in sleeping pad.

  • Lightweight loft meets weather-protection in this bag
  • 650-fill DownTek insulation keeps you warm even when wet
  • Vertical chambers minimizes shifting for warmth where you need it
  • Water-resistant fabric helps shed moisture
  • Integrated pockets stash keys, wallet, phone

Does it work with any sleeping pad? Or only a "Big Agnes" sleeping pad

Hi Amber - This bag can work with any sleeping pad, you will just want to look at the measurements of both to ensure that it will fit properly.

LOVE

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my first "nice" sleeping bag, I did a lot of research and decided on Big Agnes as I love their products and company. I use this paired with my Q core sleeping pad and I am always toasty warm! I am 5'1 and 110lbs and I got the Petite and it is the perfect size, I always feel like I have too much room near my feat in my old sleeping bags and this one is the perfect amount of space! I am a stomach sleeper and have plenty of room to do so and be comfortable. The sleeping pad sleeve is AWESOME, I love the peace of mind that my pad will never slip out from under me! I also love the color, it is so cute and adds a bit of uniqueness that other sleeping bags do not have!

Amazing and comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have taken this bag on a few multi day backpacking trips now and LOVE it... I normally have trouble sleeping as I get chilled easily and lay awake tossing and turning. With the Roxyann paired with the Big Agnes Q core sleep pad I am sleeping so comfortable. And with this sleeping bag/ sleep pad system I do not roll off my pad anymore! I do mostly coastal hiking where dampness can be an issue and this bag does not pick up a lot of that moisture. I would recommend this bag, its light , packs down small and keeps me warm.

Women's Classic Series Down System Bags

Big Agnes Women’s Classic bags are designed to feel more like the comforter on your own bed. They provide an overall more comfortable and cozier sleeping experience than ever before with a semi-rectangle shape and Insotect Flow™ construction that keeps the insulation next to your body for more efficient heat distribution. The new polyester mini rip-stop microfiber shell fabric is softer than ever with a water repellent finish. These bags are taller across the top so you can roll over more freely while the Free Range hood allows you to move unrestricted while staying hooded. They’re so comfortable, you won’t want to go home. (note: prior year colors shown in video, otherwise, all features are current)

Big Agnes System

The Big Agnes System is flawless.

Big Agnes System

Light, 3 season bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The sleeping system is rad. It's nice to not roll off your pad. You can also join your two bags together, and not have to get a double wide pad, because the single pads stay in place.

Zipping bags together is quite nice and a lot warmer, especially when you sleeping in below freezing temps. So, I strongly recommend getting opposing zippers on your bags, so you can do this. Also, with Big Anges' sleeping system, your pads stay put, so you aren't rolling off them all night.

This isn't a super warm bag, thus the 4 stars. It's comfortable closer to 35+. But, I have discovered that the slightest covering over the top of the bag, will increase the warmth significantly. So, I recommend getting a sleeping bag liner and putting it over the bag and pad, to trap the heat. Or, taking a light blanket or even your backpacking towel, and draping it over the bag. This will increase the comfort rating dramatically.

Everything else I like about this bag. It's light and durable, even against my dogs claws. I just wish the temp rating wasn't 20 degrees off.

I do want to mention that it's crucial to fluff your down bag, before you use it for the first time. The down settles, and gets smashed while it's on the shelf, leaving dead spots that get cold. Put it in the dryer with tennis balls for a full cycle and you'll be set!
