Don't miss your bed.

Back-to-back days in the backcountry can make anyone miss their bed, unless they're cuddling up with the Big Agnes Deer Park 30-Degree Down Sleeping Bag. This well-rounded bag is ideal for everything from car camping trips to summer backpacking expeditions, and is packed full of Big Agnes' hydrophobic 600-fill DownTek insulation, so it'll tolerate a bit of moisture without losing its insulating power.

The Deer Park is more than just an average sleeping bag, though, with a full-length pad sleeve to keep you from rolling off your pad, a pocket to keep your pillow in place, and a compartmentalized construction that helps limit down migration as you sleep. The down is water resistant, but the breathable fabric of the bag is also treated with a DWR finish to repel moisture if condensation or precipitation sneaks into the tent. If things get a little warm, the double zippers let you open the bag up and use it as a comforter, so you can go ahead and let your legs and arms hang out whether you're camped in the back of your van or sleeping in a tent somewhere on the Colorado Plateau.

  • 30-degree temperature rating
  • 600-fill DownTek water-resistant insulation
  • Semi-rectangular shape
  • DWR-treated fabric
  • Free Range adjustable hood with pillow sleeve
  • Full pad sleeve
  • Draft collar, tube, and wedge
  • Stuff and storage sack included

What a Dream!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had this bag out 1st time this year for a weekend. The weather had just started getting cold and the temp got close to 30 degrees. I'm 6 foot, 220lb, the long fit me perfectly with plenty of room for a house pillow. Without a doubt slept comfortable and kept me toasty for a beautiful nights sleep! Zipper is on point and I can't wait to get out next weekend!

This bag is awesome!

Being a bigger guy (6’2” and 270lbs) I find a lot of the average or run of the mill sizing for outdoor gear a little tight for me and my older cold weather sleeping bag, bought some time ago when I was a tad thinner was a getting bit too tight for comfort. So I started looking for New sleeping bags and settle on the Big Agnes Park series. At first I wasn’t looking for a down bag but the synthetic parks are a bit heavy for backpacking so I decided to go with the Down Park 30. After getting it, I went away camping for the weekend to test it and it was awesome. Although rated to 30F the overnight temperature in the tent got down to 24F. I was wearing a thin base layer and was warm enough. I do sleep a little warmer than most but this bag will perform well down to its rating from my experience. It compresses very well, is very roomy, my long and wide sleeping pad (Exped Synmat 7 LW) fits the sleeve perfectly, the ‘sleep system’ works very well and I especially love the pillow pocket as it keeps my pillow in place. No more rolling off the sleeping pad in the night, no more losing my pillow off the end of the sleeping pad, overall a much better sleep experience than I’ve ever had camping.

    This bag is awesome!

Thanks for great info, Peter! This bag is a great find to be sure, with a well thought out design; good combination of features, provides another great size option for those who like a little wiggle room, and a smart price for such a great perfomance kick-back.
