Camping's more fun with a (special) friend.

Grab your honey and head for the woods. The double-wide Big Agnes Big Creek 30 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag takes care the two of you from spring to fall. It eliminates the need to zip two bags together, so there will be nothing between you and your cuddle bug.

Slip either two sleeping pads or one double-wide pad into the stretchy pad sleeve, and you practically have your own bed in the backcountry. Synthetic insulation and DWR-treated fabric repel water when a rainstorm strikes your love nest. A zipper on each side of the bag makes escape easy for either of you, and the built-in pillow pocket lets you stuff a fleece in there in case one of you forget your pillow.

  • Double-wide bag for camping with your significant other
  • SL90 insulation is loftier and softer than other synthetics
  • DWR-coated fabric repels light precipitation and spills
  • Draft collar, wedge, and zipper tube seal in warmth
  • Built-in pillow pockets keep camp pillows in place
  • Interior fabric loops for sleeping bag liners
  • Big Agnes products are designed in and inspired by Steamboat, Colorado

snuggly wedding gift

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave this bag as a wedding gift for close friends who were going camping on their honeymoon. They loved it! snuggly and warm but not too warm. Said it would be an awesome hiking/camping bag. Super light weight.

Snugly

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Maybe not the most versatile of sleeping bags, but if you are car camping with somebody you want to snuggle this is a great way to go. Super comfy!

Cozy! First Time Double Bag User

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

As a first time double sleeping bag user, overall I'm pretty impressed. The fabric is very comfortable to sleep on; soft and high quality. I was also excited about not having to find my own footbed which can sometimes feel a bit restrictive when zipped to another bag (and can also hinder quality cuddlin'). I tried sleeping in just a t shirt and underoos the first night in low forty/high thirty degree weather, which may have been ambitious. I ended up being chilly, but my gal pal was completely content in a light sweater and leggings. Our pads were also a bit too wide (the 25" wide one being the issue) to make use of the neat pad insert feature, which was kind of a bummer. We tried to make it work, but it was awkward and just wasn't gonna happen. It sounds like the feature would have been great with 20" pads, though. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cozy sleeping bag for car camping as a couple (or ya know, really good friends).

Unanswered Question

Also, is this a multi-piece sleeping bag? Is everything stay together or get all twisted while sleeping?

Unanswered Question

Would I be able to fit my Exped MegaMat Duo 10 Sleeping Pad into the sleeping bag's sleeve?

Double Up

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Double sleeping bag systems always seemed like a great idea, but my husband and I have been so stuck in our ways with two bags that zip together and a layers of pads (to prevent the inevitable crevasse and cold spots), that I never thought we'd convert. Well, after just one night summer camping in the Uintas, we're into to. In his words "this system is money".

Couple of features I really dig about the pad system, it fits two 20" wide pads (so we could use what we have), there's main sleeve and then two individual sleeve straps to keep the pads in their place and from over lapping in the night. There's also a corner strap to keep the pad within the sleeve and from working it's way out in the night. There's a little more play on the length but 72" seemed just right. Along the sides of the pad sleeve, there's a more stretchy gusset of fabric to accommodate a thicker pad as well. We were using a rectangular Therm-a-rest NeoAir Allseason and an Exped Syn Mat. Basically felt like we were at home on a mattress. There's no insulation on the back of the bag, so you'll want a warm pad (high R value or insulation) to keep you warm.

The bag is rated to 30 degrees, filled with synthetic which is ideal for inevitable summer rain storms, damp days and easy care. We were toasty well into the low 40s. Each person has their own pillow pocket within the bag and hood for added warm. Zipper on either side, draw cord around the neck. Seriously, we're stoked on this bag.
