bad sizing

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

ordered this helmet to my head sizing and couldn't even fit on the top of my head. sweet helmet but get it two sizes bigger for sure.

Order a size or even two larger!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I know my head is bigger......but have never not felt uncomfortable in an XL regardless. Ordered the XL and couldn't even get partially on. From further reading I found that this is a helmet the pros use and typically remove all the padding and just wear a hat underneath. Since I got the helmet for what if.....that would not work for me!
Otherwise the look and quality exceeded my expectations.

Unanswered Question

What color are the straps and logo on the matte grey helmet? Is that a red or an orange?

Wrong helmet?

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This helmet seemed like the best solution to tunes on the slopes and for mountain biking. Unfortunately the product I received was all grey (not multi-toned as shown in pictures), had ear pads that were NOT compatible for helmet audio chipsets and also did not have the fit adjustment dial on the back. Maybe I was mailed the wrong product but I've had to find a suitable replacement already so I'll just return! Thanks for what is still a great service in Backcountry.com, even if things don't always work out the way you expect.

Cheers!

Cameron,

Sorry about that issue with the Team Baker Helmets being mis-labeled. I have forwarded this case to the guys in the warehouse and hopefully your comment will prevent others from experiencing the same problem.

Please give me a call at extension 4672, or email me at awelton@backcountry.com with any other comments.

Thanks,
Alex
