A workhorse of a pant.
As its name suggests, the Basin and Range Men's Stretch Iron Horse Pant is something akin to a workhorse. Touting a versatile, do-everything design, the Iron Horse features a forgiving and stretchy nylon fabric that assures unobstructed mobility, which makes it ideal for weekend hiking trips with your family and friends, or post-work bouldering sessions. And while the Iron Horse may be more than well-equipped to handle whatever adventure you throw its way, the 32-inch inseam and regular fit offer unimpeded style, which makes it versatile enough to handle going out to the pub with your pals.

Wish I had worn these within the first month of ordering, they fit pretty strangely (at least for me, I'm on the slim side), and the buttons are somewhat ludicrously oversized--to the point where I tore the upholstery on a friend's couch just by sitting on it and scooting back. Buyer beware.
Well done Basin & Range!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got these pants after being berated by my more outdoorsy friends when I wore jeans on a hike. No more - these pants are my go-to for hiking now. The material feels great and the pants are lightweight enough for me to feel comfortable wearing them in temps ranging from low 40s to high 70s Fahrenheit (at least, so far; I haven't tried them in warmer temps but I think they'd be ok). The material is also durable enough that I don't need to be careful walking off the trail.
