Ok, my expectations were exceeded on this coat. First, it fits great. Most jackets that have some puff to them are pretty unflattering, but this jacket keeps a nice shape to my body and I feel great wearing it (as someone with self-esteem issues, this is huge). It is incredibly well made. I love that it sits pretty low on the hips and the sleeves are long enough that they go past my wrist (just enough that it's not annoying). The material is great - haven't tested out it's water resistance yet, but seems like it will do well in that regard. I purchased this for a trip to Iceland in September (I live in WA state, so this type of jacket isn't needed yet) and I haven't had a chance to test out it's warmth factor, but I got pretty toasty just wearing it around the house for a few minutes; seems like it will keep me plenty warm. Love the lined hood. I was on the fence when I purchased, but I am SO glad I did. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone.
As far as sizing, I went off of the sizing chart and it fits perfectly. I am 5'6" and 155 lbs and went with a large. Like I said above, the fit is wonderful and is very flattering, and there still seems to be enough room to wear a sweatshirt or other base layers underneath.

Very warm and wind prof

I love this coat! It is extremely warm. I have a North Face 600 down. This coat is by far a lot warmer then the North Face. It does a great job with the wind as well. I am 5’4 125lb. I have a large and it fits great. If you have large hips it may be to tight. Or if you have no but it may be to big in the hip area. I love the hood, no wind gets in at all.

Wow. So when I first received this coat, I was going to return it. Out of the box it looked really thin as if it wasn't anything more than a thin spring jacket. But the next day it snowed, and I didn't have any other jacket to wear so I wore it. Let me tell you! BOY WAS IT WARM! I walked ~10 minutes from my apartment to the subway in pretty heavy snow, and the only thing that was cold was my face. This jacket also is truly water resistant and after I brushed the snow off the sleeves, it was dry. I have to say, I was very very impressed. Perfect coat if you're looking for warmth without the added bulk that some of the insulated puffy coats add.

Hi - I'm 5' 7" and about is the jacket cut up top? I usually wear a M top and L for bottom. Debating between the 2 sizes. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Warm and Stylish!

This is a great jacket! I am cold most of the time in the winter, and the sherpa lined hood and warm fabric make this a really nice alternative to the more ultralight down sweater syles. I like the banded hem, looks cute with jeans, or leggings (try the basin + range Cecret Hiking Tights, they are amazing). This has become my go-to jacket for work as the days get colder because it's more polished than a typical down jacket. I typically wear a size S, but felt like I might be between a S and XS in this particular jacket.

New favorite

My wife has switched out her favorite jacket. “I am loving the quilted look and dark navy blue. The Sherpa hood is soft and comfortable and I appreciate the soft cuffs on the sleeves that make the arms fit comfortably on my longer arms. I’ve worn this at night to colder October outdoor events and was perfectly warm.”

    Cute and Cozy!

I will echo other reviews - this jacket is stylish AND functional! Love it. I am 5'4", weigh 113 lbs, and usually wear an XS or S in tops.... I ordered the XS and it fits perfectly...not too bulky, but big enough that I can wear a sweatshirt underneath.

Thank you for the review and the good details, Jen! Greatly appreciated.

This jacket is both warm and stylish. I love the bomber jacket look and the Sherpa in the hood gives it a nice extra detail. This is a great jacket for wearing around town and has kept me warm on cold Fall days.
