Perfect for Hut Trips

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Picked these up before a recent hut trip. I am a big fan of the non slip bottoms for short walks outside to the pee tree. They are warm, light and have a comfortable insulated bottom. I am a true 9 and went with the Larges for a snugger fit. If you are looking for a causal slipper I would size up.

must have for yurtin

I really wish they had a waterproof sole. Those yurts can have some mighty wet floors.

    Great for Hut Trips

Don't go without these, key to keeping the feet warm.

    I love these!

They are super warm and comfy. I usually just use them to lounge and hang out in. I'm getting more for friends for Christmas!

Bought as a lounging shoe for winter days for mostly indoor use- found myself sweating most the time because they are so warm!! Even used them post-skiing walking around in gravel and they held up great. Not the best quality, some of the insulation will leak out, but that is what you get with this inexpensive option. Not the highest quality, but if you are looking to stay warm with casual use, post-skiing, post-winter activities, even post skating for a comfortable lounging slipper its the way to go. There is a harder material on the foot, but they get wet fairly easily but dry quickly. 5 stars for comfort, price and warmth, but rated 4 stars because lack of breathability, quality (not built to last heavy use) and no DWR which would be awesome. Just use what they are recommended for (winter lounging) or chilly weather camping and they will be a wonderful purchase. Also easy to pack or keep in the car!
      I'm a 10.5 foot, ordered a XL. Good fit.

Loved these so much I bought them as gifts for my friends before our cabin ski trip. They are so stoked. Cheap, comfy, and great to rock around cabins and cold temps.

      Decent

      • Size Bought: 3XL

These booties are good, but my biggest objection is their water resistance. In a mountaineering setting walking around a snowy camp they wet out very quickly, and in those conditions they really never dry out again. The insulation is also very lumpy and unevenly distributed. Considering the price they are still a good buy, but not a bomber product.
-Size 12 shoe- 3XL fit well

      Comfy Booties - So Necessary

Going out on hut trips, and to winter cabins bringing some booties to keep your feet warm and comfortable all night is just shy of mandatory. These little Baffin slippers are pretty much perfect. Light and pack-able for the way in; down warmth and slip-proof for making it through the night.

Warm, comfortable, have decent traction. What else do you need in a down booty?

these thangs are great... i wear them around the house and slide on the hardwood floors like a child, I'm 37! Not waterproof doe.. so don't mistake these for your snow boots....

      Keepin those feet warm!

I bought these to keep my feet warm during those cold nights in the backcountry. These do a fantastic job of keeping my feet extremely warm and comfortable. I wear a 11.5 shoe/boot/whatever and I have the XXL and they fit great. This leaves enough room to wear some thick wool socks for those extra chilly nights. My only complaint is that they don't compress as much as i thought they would. I think some down booties would pack up smaller.

      comfy and warm!

      • Size Bought: XXL

These are my 2nd pair. They do run small, I typically wear 10.5-11 and I ordered the XXL, which fit fine. The only feedback I give is for a slightly more durable sole for the quick jaunts to the outhouse / trash pile / wood shed, etc

are they fitted for right and left feet or do either fit both feet?

They are sized for both a right and a left foot. It is easy to tell which is which when you have them in front of you.

are they easy to put on? I had a pair where an elastic collar made it difficult to slip them on.

Hey! They are super easy to slip on and off. There is no elastic around the cuff, but there is a drawstring if you wanted to pull them tighter at the cuff once on.

      Quality and great price

I bought these for a cabin trip and figured I wouldn't use them much beyond that. Turns out I ended up wearing them around the house nearly every day for the last few months. They're very comfortable. I bought a pair for my girlfriend, and she loves hers, too. We haven't had any lumpy footbed issues with ours. I wear size 12-12.5 and the 3XL fits me comfortably.

      A little bumpy

As mentioned by others, the footbed is bumpy. I sized up and glad I did since I want to be able to fit em on with thick socks. Still tighter than I expected. Nice and warm around the house so far!.

I ordered this for my boyfriend because they were out of his size in the Baffin Base Camp Slipper, which he had tried previously and really liked. When he went to try these on, it was an immediate no. I am not sure if it was a fluke, or just the product, but the inside of the boot, on the foot bed was all lumped to the middle of the slipper, so it was like you were standing on a mountain. We were unimpressed and returned them, later trading them for the Base Camp slipper when it got re stocked in his size.

I don't think it was a fluke because I had the same problem with these when I first tried them on. It felt like I was standing on an uneven surface and my first thought was to immediately send them back. However, I decided to give them a chance because they were so warm and it's been really difficult finding anything in my size. After a day or two, the foot bed insulation evened out and they are really comfortable now. They may feel strange at first but it seems they just need to be broken-in.

      Great gift for dad's!

I bought these for my dad who lives in Colorado near Vail. He called me the day he got them and had to tell me how sweet they were. He said his feet were so warm wearing them around, and commented that he had more traction with these on in the snow/ice than his nicer winter boots. For not being too sure what to get him for Christmas, I'd like to think I nailed it with these! He's a size 11 shoe and the XXL fit him great!

      Unanswered Question

Are these booties quite wide at the bottom?...

Are these booties quite wide at the bottom? Is the sole quite flexible left to right?

This may seem an odd question but I'll be wearing them inside the foot plate of my mono-ski and there is a VERY limited amount of space in there.

So far I love them. I've had them a couple months and wear them all the time. Quite light weight for my ultralight pack weight and great for around the house. I wore them around camp a couple nights with temps in the upper 20's F with lightweight Smartwool socks and my feet stayed quite warm. The ground was covered with oak leaves and smallish twigs, never had a problem with durability or slipping. My wife loves her pair as well. The work well in my Western Mountaineering bag as well helping to push the temps colder than the bags rating. For the price they are hard to beat for sure. I wear size 12 and had to return my XXL size for 3XL then they fit great.
