Why We Built The Teo Down Jacket

We've got our burly kit, our new boots, some fresh powder—all that's missing is the Teo Down Jacket. We made this midlayer for impressive insulation whether we're hiking to the peaks to find the freshest lines or scoping out an untouched lift-accessible route. While high-loft down delivers undeniable warmth, cleverly inserted Polartec insulation stays toasty even when we start to break a sweat. The helmet-compatible hood can be cinched down to lock in heat, or ventilating zippers open up to let cool air rush in after a hearty climb.

Comfortable, warm jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought this jacket for a trip to Iceland, it was perfect for the weather. I liked the length compared to some other puffy jackets and it kept me very comfortable even in 70mph wind gusts. Like other reviews mentioned, the zipper is not the best. Similar to what it seems like other people experienced, before I figured out the write combination of movements it could take 4 or 5 tries to get the zipper to work, which was especially a pain in the before mentioned 70mph winds. Would be a 5 star review if it wasn't for the zipper.

Kilimanjaro

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Used this coat for Kilimanjaro and a safari. Great coat for layering. Was warm even in the wind without a hardshell (used a hardshell on summit night). The zipper is a little tricky to get started but I figured it out and soon had no problems.

Solid Jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

For the price, this jacket is a good deal. Super warm! I appreciate the zippered vents in the neck area to allow more airflow. The hood is massive, fits helmets and hats with no issues. The hip pockets are fleece-lined and have plenty of space for storage. The jacket zips up nice and compact into the chest pocket. Easily take this backpacking or travelling. My one complaint is the zipper is on the opposite side compared to other men's jackets I have. It's not a huge deal breaker, it just has me more worried about the longevity and build quality. I've had it for several weeks and all of the seams stitching seems great. Definitely a good option for those looking to save some money. I'm 6'2" about 180 lbs and an XL fits just slightly too big, but that's what I was going for. I do appreciate how far down the bottom of the jacket extends past the waist.

Comfortable, warm winter jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I bought this jacket earlier this winter and am very glad I did. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's made well and looks good. It's moderately moisture resistant and the insulation that uses down and polyester is very comfortable. A very good value. (The sizing very slightly small around the belly. Arm length is perfect for me. [I have shorter arms.])

Great Value

Familiarity:

Love this jacket but the zipper is not high quality. Had to return due to defective operation. Wish I could have kept it. Super warm, but lightweight. Hood is fantastic.

More of a belay jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very nicely made jacket, but heavier than a Ghost Whisperer. More features, and is helmet-compatible for HUGE helmets. The hood would struggle to stay on your head without a helmet. Slim fit, and the torso seems long.

Do it all Down!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This packable down jacket is a perfect do it all jacket for all conditions! Layers nicely under your shell but can also be worn as a stand alone for your everyday pursuits. It packs down into its internal pocket so you can stash it in your ski pack for emergency use.
