I ordered two pairs after going on a hike in these. I avoid shorts because I cannot stand when they ride up in the inner thigh....if you know, you know. Anyway. I wear these all the time. I love them and I love that they dry so quickly!

I bought a pair in black last year and fell in love. I was heart broken they were then sold out of my size in all colors. I was so excited when just recently I checked and they were back in stock. I now have them in 3 colors. (The pattern pair is the only one I didn’t buy) They are perfect for camping, biking, the beach, theme parks—I wore them every day for a 3 day Disney vacation. I LOVE that the front pockets zip and they have a built in belt, they are quick dry and the perfect length. (My thighs don’t rub together) I bought the size M, I’m normally around a size 8 and they fit perfect. I love that they are a little high waisted.

Bought these a month ago and pretty much haven't taken them off. They fit perfectly (I am a S/M and went with a small) with plenty of room for athletic thighs! They don't ride up or down and the zip pockets fit my phone and snacks for the day without looking too bunchy. Please add more colors!!

Alas, the perfect hiking short! As soon as I put these on I knew I had to order all the colors. I am a true medium/ size 8 and these fit perfectly. I hate tight shorts around the waist and thigh and these have just enough room in both. I love the belt for when I load up the zippered pockets. I also love the side detail on the hem (very flattering!) and the longer coverage in the back. 10/10 Backcountry!

I’m not sure if the previous versions ran large but the one I ordered May 2024 Kalamata runs true to size. I’m usually between a small and medium depending on the brand and a 6/8 size and the medium fits really well. These shorts are so lightweight and the perfect length. The zippered front pockets just fit my iphone 14 pro with a case. The belt is great for a customized fit. I find elastic bottoms will slide down if you have things in the pockets- doesn’t happen with these!

These are great shorts for hiking, they do run big so I ordered a XS instead of a S and they fit perfect!

Changed from Old Version

I am so bummed backcountry has changed the fit of these shorts from an older version. I ordered a new pair thinking they would fit the same but they are tighter and do not look as good as my last pair. I am bummed because they are otherwise such a nice color!

I wore these non-stop this summer. I love the ripstop material - they're durable and quick dry. I have the lavender color and black and they are so flattering. The drop hem in the back gives a bit more coverage. The integrated adjustable belt is a great feature, and it's not obstructed by a climbing harness or backpacking waist belt. I am typically a small, but would recommend sizing down to an XS since they run large. Perfect for any summer adventure from river to rock. Bring on the warm weather!

These shorts fit well. They give me a nice shape to my straight body due to the belt and how they curve up around the hem line. I am going to get another pair
