Love these pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: small

I love the On the Go pant- first ever purchase from backcountry and I am in love. I got my sister and best friend to purchase as well! I bought the black and then ordered the grey pair because I also own too much black and these pants are awesome. I like to hike, so I really appreciate the back pocket which fits my google phone as front pockets dont work for your cell phone, especially when hiking a steep hill. The elastic at the ankles is perfect- not too tight or too loose. And the waist is perfect, just above the hips, but not high at the waist. Very breathable material and dries quickly where I live in the high desert. I am 5'7", weighing around 130lbs and the small fits me perfectly. Thank you backcountry.

Not For People with Hips or Butts!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

I am athletically built, but I have curvy hips and a butt. I could barely fit these over my hips.

Bought these pants in Midnight and I just love them! They're super comfortable. They thin, so probably 3-season pants unless you live in a mild winter location. I'd love to have these in other colors than the standard black, grey and blue.

Almost perfect. 5’9 150- Medium

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

When I first put these on I took them right back off because they felt off. They were going back. But I also had a trip to Utah in 2 days and didn’t have another pair of hiking pants so I brought them. I’m so glad I did. After the first day I loved everything about them besides the length. Light, airy, flexible, flattering. I’m 5’9 and probably 150 right now (winter weight). I bought the mediums. I wore them like capris because they weren’t long enough to be worn as pants and still be cute. I wore these for 3 days hiking and never got smelly.

Good fit but very loud

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

  • Size Bought: 4

These pants fit me nicely, but I decided to return them because the material is really loud (swishy and crinkley) and I knew I would get annoyed with a full day of hiking in these.

Comfortable and a great fit for me.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I bought these pants in black and asphalt. The black fit better than the asphalt which seemed a little more baggy. Maybe an XS would have fit better in asphalt, but a small in the black fits really well. I also bought them in the short size and they are a good length for me. They are super comfortable and wash well. Looking forward to camping and hiking a bunch in these pants.

Comfortable and a great fit for me.

Flattering and Functional

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small/Reg

I'm 5'9" and roughly 155lbs athletic build, and these fit great, they are flattering, love the stretchy material factor. It's so hard to find pants that actually fit athletic builds (eg. strong quad game, narrow hips). I feel like I could wear these climbing or to the office.

ALMOST perfect

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: xs

I was so looking forward to these pants after reading all of the great reviews. I am a small person, so I originally ordered the XXS. They fit and looked amazing except for in the crotch area. This area was so tight and awkward that I had to return. I then tried the XS. Not as good of a fit as the XXS and the crotch is still fairly tight, but better. Just couldn't find that sweet-spot with these. I do love the stretch for climbing, the pockets are amazing, and the lightness is perfect. With a few adjustments, these would be the best climbing pants ever.

Not a good fit for me

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: medium

I sized up per the other recommendations and by my past experiences with the brand. Unfortunately, they were definitely at least one size too big for me.

Super comfortable

  • Fit: True to size

Good quality, flattering fit and super comfortable!

More colors please!

I absolutely love these pants. I have them in midnight blue and they are my favorite currently. They are so comfortable and the cut is very flattering on me. My only regret is not being able to get the huckleberry colored ones in my size, they haunt my dreams I so wish they would restock. I also wish they came in olive color or maybe even yellow. I'd buy them all!!

More colors please!

Too Big

  • Size Bought: M

After reading many reviews I decided I would size up from my normal size small and get the mediums. That did not work out. I am about 135 pounds and 5’11 and the mediums were huge. I will be returning for a small

Cute, Comfy but LOUD

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: xxl

Love these pants, the fit is on point and the style is really nice. I plan to get a lot of wear out of these pants over many years...I hope - will use them for travel and hiking. The only downside is that the fabric is extra loud and makes swishing noises when I move/walk so no sneaking up on anyone or anything.

BEST PANTS EVER

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I got these pants for wearing around the house and just day to day wear, but realized I just want to wear them every day. I just drove from Wisconsin to Utah and wore these for most of the trip and they felt wonderful THE WHOLE TIME. They are a great fit and have that most amazing stretch for us small waist yet big hip girls (pic of the stretch included). If you travel or road trip often I would certainly suggest these pants!

I bought these for my wife for Christmas and she loves them! She is about 5’7 120lb and the medium/short fits great. She is using them for bike riding as well as just lounging around the house.
