Itchy, too small, and uncomfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Usage: I tried wearing these on a camping trip, and had a bad time. Because they are too small, I ran into the problem that many plus size people run into: pants falling down and having to hike them back up every couple of steps. Seriously, I tried to walk to the campground bathroom in them and they would not stay up. Quality: I don?t know if the seam around the thigh was a conscious design choice, but it was a weird one. The seam is really restrictive and makes your legs look like sausages. Additionally, the fabric is a bit itchy. Like not enough to make me want to take them off, but enough to make me conscious that I was wearing leggings I didn't like. Accuracy: The color is nice, the size is not. Sizing & Fit: As a plus size hiker, I cannot recommend purchasing this. First, although the sizing was XXL, this definitely ran small, so it was really close fitting to the point of being too small and riding up whenever I moved. This was really disappointing since I looked at the size chart and fell within the measurement range for this shirt, so to have it be too small, even though it was the largest size was a disappointment. Please note that I am an Honorary Backcountry Gearhead and these leggings were sent to me to try on and use. I was not coerced by Backcountry to write a great review (that should be obvious from my review).

Itchy interior stitching
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I love the feel of the fabric and the warmth but the interior stitching is TOO irritating to endure. Should have listened to other reviewers.

Warm but Itchy
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Nice material, thick, very warm. Love the phone pocket. My biggest complaint is that the stitching is super scratchy. They also run small - I typically wear 4/6 and the Smalls were pretty tight throughout.

Wife loves them
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
My wife has large hips and small legs, at 5?8? she loves these leggings more than the ones she can find at more common local stores. Came back tonight to buy her a second pair but the black are all sold out. Will keep an eye out for restock.

Super Short
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I am 5?9? and these were so short that with the tight, thick ankles up on my calves, they were unwearable. I?m not too sad about it though because they seemed quite scratchy, too.

Not my favorite pants
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These pants are a lot more "stiff" than I would have liked. They don't "hug my body" as much as I was looking for, which is nice for some uses but I was hoping they would have more of a "technical pants" feeling. I bought these hoping to run in the winter with them. These pants have a weird fit, and feel loose at the top while awkward and itchy at the bottom. The seams in the pants are pretty itchy, not enough to make me run out of them, but enough to notice. I'm wondering if that will get smoother with more use out of them.. I'm not sure I could recommend these leggings.

Not impressed
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These leggings were tight in the ankles / calves but big in the waist. I bought them to run in over the winter and I probably won?t be able to do that because they fall down since they?re not tight in the waist and hips. Additionally, the stitching seems to not stretch like normal stitching in leggings? When pulling them up, I could hear the stitching pulling and tearing. Not really sure what I wear them for since they?re not all that comfy.

Ready for cooler weather!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Must have staple in my wardrobe. These leggings are the perfect mix of stretch and warmth. I go between these and my Backcountry Sundial leggings when it comes to casual wear, and layering for different activities such as camping, snowboarding, and fishing. Lots of layer options and versatility in these leggings. I love the material because it is thick enough to provide the protection and warmth needed but I have never over heated in these. The material is similar to a tech hoodie in my opinion and the soft brushed back is perfect for cool weather everything. I have worn them under a dress casually, in the winter as an extra needed layer (while still keeping my mobility while boarding) under my snow pants, during camping as a much needed layer during the cool nights around the campfire, as well as under my waders while fishing in cold waters. Another feature I like which is a small one but stands out to me is the waist and ankle cuffs, they help to make these fit perfectly! I highly recommend these for all of your outdoor activities.
