Not a fan.
Incredibly tight , short and kind of cheap looking.
Red color not as rich as it looked on the screen.
I normally wear a small and it was really, really tight. You might want to go up a size!
It's a bit lighter than I expected and the fleece is very minimal, limited to a grid of little round dots of fleece vs a full waffle or grid.
I usually wear an XS or S top, depending on brand and cut. I went with the S here and it was the right choice for me. Arms and torso are both very close fitting. Plenty of width across the shoulders and armpits. If you want to wear anything besides a t-shirt or close fitting base layer/top underneath this might not be the right fleece.
Overall I still like it and think I'll get good use out of it.
I have the trellis and asphalt colors - yes I came back for a second! Nice to have an alternative to solid black and the trellis is bright and cheery, yet still neutral enough to match anything. I typically get too hot in heavier fleeces, but not this one. It really does breathe well. I wear it hiking with my dog and training horses. Perfect balance of warmth without the weight. Iâve had some fleeces from UA and the inside collects human and dog hair in the washing machine. Yuck. Not this Backcountry fleece - washes great and hair wonât stick to the inside or the smooth outside. I am a big fan of thumb holes and hate sleeves that are too short. These work great for me, I can even fully extend my arms while riding and there is plenty of mobility. The high collar stand up or lies flat with enough coverage to tuck your chin into on a windy day. And the zipper works! Doesnât get hung up on itself or you. The chest zip pocket is a necessity for me - gotta have a place for my chapstick, extra hair ties, and a key. I have purchased a number of Backcountry items this past year, and the quality is top notch. I am 5â6â and 150 lbs and bought a M. I have smaller shoulders and chest and carry my weight in the middle. This fleece is a trimmer fit.
Can zipped pocket fit into 6 inch iPhone?
First, I love the simplicity of this design. The color is nice and not flashy. Second, the material is perfectly soft on the inside, but still breathable for my runs. It is very similar to a fleece I purchased from another brand but at a much better price. The thumb loops in the sleeves also help keep me warm. I would definitely purchase another in a separate color. The fit is snug, but exactly what I was looking for to keep me warm and not have extra material while running.
This is my favorite winter shirt, for skiing, running, climbing or working from home in my chilly office. It fits true to size (I am 5'4, 130 lbs, and normally wear a size 4-6 and got the small). I love the chest pocket for storing cards, keys, or any other small items. The grid fleece keeps me warm and the thumb holes are great for keeping my hands safe from the chill. The athletic fit is also very flattering. The chest zip allows me to maintain warmth when it's cold out and dump excess heat when I'm sweating. It also wicks away moisture and sweat. I plan on buying more in different colorways
LOVE grid fleece for the warmth factor! This is a super warm and breathable base layer that is also very versatile. In the past, I have had trouble with quarter zips as a base layer because the zipper always somehow did not do me any favors and sometimes just got in the way. This fleece is not that way, the zipper is super low profile and does not rub against my skin at all which is a big win! The fleece is a bit tight so size up a size if you prefer more of a non fitted style. I do not mind the fitted nature of it because usually it is covered by another jacket layer or also my waders. I have worn this piece while climbing/hiking (only twice so far) in chilly weather and found it to be good with movement and breath ability. I also really love the high low cut of this fleece because it covers my bottom while still looking normal in the front, I am pretty petite so anything that makes me look shorter than I am is a no go. This does the trick! Definitely recommend!
