Why We Built The Frary Fleece Pant

Whether the fire is roaring at that campsite or in our cabin, the Frary Fleece Pant adds to the cozy cold-weather environment. We crafted this techy style from synthetic polyester that wicks away moisture and offers breathable comfort whether we're indoors or out in the wild. The outer fabric keeps sun rays and snowy weather at bay while we trek through the woods, and the fleecy lining keeps us warm without weighing us down.

  • Technical fleece pant for chilly adventures in and away from home
  • Breathable fabric construction wicks away internal moisture
  • DWR coating keeps light snow or rain off your legs
  • Drawcord hem ensures a secure fit during outdoor pursuits
  • Articulated stitching offers stretch for hiking and climbing
  • UPF 50+ sun protection keeps skin safe from UV-reflecting snow

Great, slick sweats

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

Great purchase. They basically look like old-school baseball pants on the outside. But they are quite cozy and comfortable. I'm 5'7, 145 lbs with a 32 waist and a small is a bit snug. But I like a snug fit. I think a medium would be too big on me.
Really happy with these sweats. And very impressed overall with Backcountry's house brand. (I have 2 Backcountry jackets that are great, too.) Keep it up, Backcountry!

Perfect Fit, Warm and comfortable!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

These pants are amazing! Comfortable, fit perfect and really warm. My wife also really likes them on me.

I have not washed these yet, gone on any walk/runs or biked in them yet. I am hopeful that they will stand up. These are my first Backcountry pants so I am hopeful, but not sure.

Poor Quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

These pants are very comfortable and look nice at first. However, after only wearing them once or twice they have a bunch of pulls and pilling already. Very disappointed.

Best value sweat/jogger on the market

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Large

When these are on sale, they are the best value out there. I paid ~$40 for these (keep an eye on Steepandcheap.com - BC's sister website) and when you compare those to Lulu and every other fancy brand out there (as I did), it's a killlllller deal. And I'd rather rep the backcountry logo than the bougie Lulu logo....though I'd rather the logo be smaller or just not rep a log at all. But these fit perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose, room for a package of just about any size, nice tapering, butt looks good, nice back pocket, good material, just nice and manly. I do wish the draw strings were on the inside but not enough to dock it a point. The front pocket is just barely big enough to fit my iPhone 12 (tried to take a photo with some bulky stuff to illustrate) but they're loose enough that it doesn't look ridiculous. It is worth knowing that these are a little bit more casual than the Lulu ABC Joggers (which cost $130!) which you could wear to a nice bar for example. You could go shopping in these or do just about whatever but you couldn't have them be much above casual. I said the pants run small but I have thick legs and butt for someone at 6'1" 190 lbs. You could get away with medium if you prefer a little tighter but I think large fits me perfectly.
Enjoy these for sure....also, if these were the retail of $99

    My New Favorite Pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

Disclaimer: I was given this product by Backcountry but all opinions are my own.

These are by far my favorite cozy pants that I own. They are incredibly soft, fit well, and awesome for either hanging around your campsite or at home on the couch.

The fit of them is really nice with it tapered toward the ankle. There is a seam near the back of the knee which allows better range of motion, which is great. The drawstring on them is also good and haven't had any issues of it being pulled into the wasteband or coming out of the pants. I really like the addition of the back zipper pocket and its nice to have a pair of cozy pants with that option.

    Overall, I love mine.

    Best camp pants!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I don't know who on Backcountry's product design team I need to address my "Thank You" card to, but wow... they knocked it out of the park with this one. I'm obsessed with these pants whether I'm at home, out for a jog, camping, or traveling. They keep your legs nice and cozy when you're lounging in your camp chair on a brisk night while not making you burn up when going for a quick jog either. Fabric is soft, stretchy, and comfy, but holds up very well to heavy use. I loved my first pair so much I had to buy another in a different color.
