When it's broken down in our pack, the blade lays flat and takes up minimal space so we can pack along our extra layers and snacks. When it's time to move fast, the auto-engaging blade-to-shaft spring pins quickly snap the shovel together, and we get a sturdy grip from the D-shaped handle and ergonomic design of the shaft for efficiently removing snow.
