Don't be a chicken.

One day birds will evolve to the point where they're skiing, and when they do, you can bet they'll want to strap the Atomic Hawx 110 Ski Boots to their talons. Thankfully, they're not quite there yet; can you imagine a giant man-bird with a scythe of a beak standing next to you at the top of the summit, staring at you with those evil yellow eyes? Anyway, the Hawx 110 is more than suitable for humans, too, with a narrow 98mm last and a 110 flex that are solid enough to charge the whole mountain and are comfortable enough that you'll be able to rip all day without stopping, even if you're not some sort of hardcore post-evolutionary bird-dude.

If it's been a while since you upgraded your boots, get ready, because some serious improvements in fit adjustability will have you throwing your old boots to the birds. Atomic's Memory Fit heat-fitting shell actually allows the shell to be customized to the shape of your feet, while the lightweight liner will keep your mammalian feet circulating with warm blood thanks to 3M Thinsulate insulation, which won't compromise the responsive feel of your boots. The forward lean can be adjusted between 13, 15, and 17 degrees along with a flex index by plus or minus 10 flex points to give you that extra boost you need when you're pushing into more steep and technical terrain.

  • Atomic's lightest alpine boot still packs a powerful punch
  • 110 flex sits on the stiffer side in the Hawx Ultra collection
  • Narrow 98mm last width gives a performance-first fit
  • Progressive shell with Energy Backbone reinforcements
  • Thermo-moldable Memory Fit liner with 3M Thinsulate insulation

So far so good!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Just purchased these for myself this season. The narrowest boot of the Hawx line. Love how lightweight they are and I would agree they are true to a 110 flex. So far I haven't decided I want to utilize the shell molding. Got new custom foot beds and the boots are great!

Great gift

I bought these as a gift for a friend and she loves them. They're light and comfy and great the ski in. She would highly recommend it

Solid boot with shell cook that works!

I'm 6', 150 lbs...a finesse skier (vs power). I find the 110 to be a perfect flex. My foot measures 275mm x 97mm with a high instep and very low volume. I normally wear size 10.5-11 running shoe. The 27.5 boot was too big (front to back and volume), but the 26.5 is a good performance fit (toes pull away from f front when I bend knees) with good heel hold. However, very tough to put on with my high, took to a shop and cooked the shells in Atomic oven (don't cook liners). Wow, does that work - the cook only makes the boot larger, so be careful - but the boot totally conformed to my high instep with the cook (we also created a bit more room for the toes). My low volume foot still needs some shims under liner, but am very happy with the boot. Cool technology.

    Comfort and Perfomance

I got these boots molded in my local ski shop and they fit like a glove! True to a 110 flex. One of the biggest benefits to this boot is how light it is. Very responsive and very comfortable. I would most definitely recommend these to a skier looking for a comfortable boot without a compromised performance.

    Unanswered Question

Is this a 2 position flex or 3? 100,110,120 or 110/100 or 110/120 not very clear from the description really.
