Stability you need. Cushioning you crave.
Smooth striding, light underfoot, and supportive, the Asics Men's Gel-Kayano 24 Running Shoe serves as Asics' flagship stability shoe. The Gel-Kayano 24 holds your heel and foot with a snug feel thanks to its FluidFit stretch mesh upper and Heel Clutching System. Perfect for overpronators and neutral runners desiring robust stability, the Dynamix Duomax cushioning system and Guidance Line enhance gait efficiency by stabilizing the foot from initial heel strike to toe-off.
The Flytefoam midsole provides continuous cushioning underfoot while being 55% lighter than standard foam and returns to shape quickly after each stride. Asics' signature Gel in the heel and forefoot provides cushioned comfort on daily jogs through the neighborhood and longer runs alike. Inside the shoe, the Ortholite sockliner offers superb moisture management on sweat-soaked runs.

As a runner with many years under my belt, the most important thing to me at this point is to be able to keep running. That's why I've been a long time fan of the Gel-Kayano. I've literally logged over 4,000 miles on these shoes with only a couple of very minor injuries over the years. These are true stability shoes, I've tried Nike and other brand "stability shoes" and almost immediately felt my knee starting to get torqued. I know everyone's body is different, but I certainly stand behind the quality & comfort of these running shoes. They are a bit spendy, but you can pile 250-350 miles on one pair. The new design is nice and light, holds true to the original design.
