Performance focused, the Torin 5 Running Shoe is what we count on to crush our daily road miles. The enhanced foam provides long-lasting shock absorption and gives each toe-off a little extra bounce, sending us into faster times and longer distances. As we push our tired legs to pick up speed in the final stretch, the increased collar padding keeps our heel locked in for smooth tracking and a strong finish. Plus, with its zero-drop design, the Torin 5 effortlessly promotes a more natural gait to help keep our mid-foot strike proper and less likely to hurt after longer runs.

Some of the most comfortable everyday shoes I've ever worn
I wore these shoes into the ground! They were my everyday shoes for two years, the first pair I'd found that didn't restrict my pinky toe. The inside heel wore pretty quickly, but I was able to patch it.

Love it but falling apart
I love this shoe but unfortunately the soles are falling apart! This is my second pair - returned the first pair for the same reason and hoped it was a one off but the same thing happened to the second pair. Really disappointed.

I would try a different shoe. Not a good choice
They are peeling apart after about a month of use. No running, just daily wear at an average job.

hate the tongue
I jave had the previous version of the torin and loved them so i bought version 5. The tongue is painful. Hopefully it breaks in. Please don't use this tongue anymore. Did you even do wear testing?

Size 15 is not the same 15 as Lone Peak
After about two years in a pair of loan peaks, I pull the trigger on these. Fit and finish was awesome, but after my first 20 minute walk, I realized my toe is rubbing up against the front, even though it's the same size as my other pair of Altras. The cushion is great. The heel cup is great. However, the sizing is not equal across-the-board it seems. Add a half size up in these is my suggestion.

Poor quality and they don't honor warranty!
I bought these for walking. They had less than 6 months of use (due to surgery and summer/ Birkenstock season). I was told it was "wear and tear" and not covered. If you want expensive sneakers that will tear with 6 months of use, these are them! Truly disgusted/disappointed...

Tore away from sole well within warranty!
I bought these for the wide toe box and zero drop. I use them for walking. The fabric/mesh is tearing away from sole well within warranty so I've filed a claim.

Great shoe, except for the tongue...
This would have been a 5 star review if not for the tongue. I started using these during winter, so my socks have been stopping the tongue from slicing into my ankle. Hopefully it will soften up before the weather gets warm...

Quality Is Trash And They Won't Honor Their Warranty
This is my 3rd pair of Altra Torins and I be observed a sharp decline in quality. If you're looking at Altras for the large toe box and zero drop (neutral) try HOKA Bondi. I used my first pair for more than 600 miles. My second pair didn't hold up long because the heals tore within 50 miles but I still used them for about 200 miles. Pair #2 also had a lacing design that would cut off the circulation in my foot because it was designed to tighten, instead of loosen, as you run. I purchased these in February of 2022 and they failed by January of 2023. I ONLY for running and they held out for less than 70 miles before they tore. Altra claims to have a 300-500 mile warranty but when I filed a claim, they claimed this was due to "wear and tear." If I sold running shoes made out of toilet paper, I could call any shoe failures "wear and tear", despite the fact that my design is flawed. The other reviews about the tongue design is also a huge issue. I still have a scar on the front of my ankle from the tongue tearing the skin off on my first run, which was only 3 miles.

Yes!!!
Although I've only used this shoes a few times, I'm very pleased with them. My plantar fasciitis pain has decreased a lot!! All in all I love this shoes!!
