Out of the box the pump didn't work and would not charge. The company said it was my fault for not following their A,B,C procedure... It's a pump with a battery... It's suppose to have lifetime warranty, they did warranty it, which they should because it was new.

I slept on it for 2 years, in a house. What I like is that it's a twin long. Good for the 6' guy. It's comfortable and you can adjust softness or hardness as needed. Which is nice compared to a standard spring mattress. Every few months I would need to put a couple puffs (from me blowing) back into it. No big deal as that's normal with air mattresses.

I got it on sale for around $70. I feel that's all it's worth. I mean, I seen one that looked very similar at ALDI for like $20. So I wonder if you are just paying for the name and warranty. It would have been interesting to buy the ALDI one and do a comparison.

Very comfy and easy to use

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    • Size Bought: Queen

I just purchased the queen size mattress and took it out for four nights of camping. We loved it. I've camped sleeping on the ground, on thin camping pads, in trailers, etc, and this was by far the most comfortable. The lows were around 40, and just being off the ground helped us stay toasty and comfortable.

I'd read other reviews about battery life on the charger and slow leaks, so I made sure the pump battery was charged and once pumped up, ensured the valves were closed tightly. The mattress remained fully inflated the whole time even though we sometimes stepped on it or walked across it moving about the tent.

I liked the deflation feature, as it really sucks all the air out, making it easy to roll up and store back in the bag.

    Defective or poor quality

    • Fit: True to size

I only use it twice. And it is deflecting already.

    So far, great!

Got the mattresses last month and used them a couple of times. Love that they are nice and big. Was a bit deflated after the first night, but we noticed that if you make sure that both valve caps are very tightly screwed close, it holds the air fine. Very comfortable!
The pumps suck. It takes a while to inflate, charge last for maybe twice, and recharging takes hours. (Luckily we have the pump from our old mattress)

Did not stay inflated more than 4 hours

We took this camping this past weekend, and it was deflated halfway through the night, so we kept having to wake up to repump it in the middle of the night. It inflated quickly and was comfortable when it had air in it, though. Backcountry has a reputation for selling high-quality products and it seems it works fine for most people, so maybe we just got a faulty one. I would definitely recommend testing it for a full night before taking it camping, though.

      Two years. Worth it

Took this car camping up until this past January where it finally wouldnt hold air. Came with an electric pump and was very comfy for myself and company if needed

        Good Mattress

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this for tent camping with my family. It was comfortable and folded up easily. The pump worked great for inflating and deflating.

        Perfect for Tent Camping

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got this to use in our tent and it works perfect. It is durable and holds air well. I will warn that the pump does not hold a charge long. You can get 1, maybe 2 fills before having to charge again. The queen size fit my husband and I perfectly and he's 6'3". No complaints other than the pump!

        So far so good!

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Couldn’t be happier with this mattress. I got it for my camping platform and it’s just what i needed!

        Thanks for this review, Jesse!

        fits 2

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

got this to fit my girlfriend and I on the same pad and it works perfectly. I'm 6'4 and don't have a problem at all. fits in my marmot 3p tent. doubles as guest bed for drunk friends.

        Super comfortable

Lightweight, super comfortable and easy to blow up. Comes with a rechargeable pump that works very well. Great for company or car camping!

          Surprisingly Comfy, Shockingly Durable

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

We are a family of five plus a 50 pound dog with talons. For a seven night trip we used two queen mattresses. They held up beautifully. I did put a tarp under the tent, but I wouldn't hesitate to set the mattresses on a raked ground. We used cheap polyester sleeping bags, so they slid around on the beds, but we were still warm without added liners or bedding in 50 degrees. I will say that I did not read the instructions. The pump is battery operated and will not operated while plugged in. Once I unplugged it, it worked wonderfully.

          so comfy!

Ive been sleeping on a little backpacking pad and finally broke down and bought this mattress... and damn is it nice. I now sleep like a little baby when we car camp. The pack sack makes it real easy to pack up and the mattress is made of very solid material. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great car camping mattress

          Awesome Matteress

I purchased the queen size as im a princess now and i was tired of sleeping on the ground or on my backpacking pads. Boy am i glad i got this thing. Far better that the plastic ploy mattresses you get on the cheap, and best part is this thing doesn't leave you deflated mid night. Durable, easy and comfortable.

            Comfortable queen size air mattress

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought the queen size mattress for when extra people come over my house, and for car camping. I followed the directions and did not have any problems with the pump like some other reviewers did. I charged it for 9 hours which is what the instructions say.. If you do that you could fill up several air mattresses. I couldn't get the pump to deflate the mattress, and ended up just doing it manually which is fine. According to the directions you are supposed to discharge the pump because that will improve the battery's longevity. I went to discharge the pump, and it went on for atleast 15 minutes, and that was after I had used the pump to inflate the mattress. So this is a powerful little pump. The mattress was comfortable and I personally slept on it one evening.

Thanks so much for contributing to our community, Marisa! I'm jealous of this mattress! Glad you love it.

            why do you hate?

This thing is amazing, firm enough for my picky mother when she crashes our floor for an impromptu visit. The pump is quick and powerful, once you figure out how to use it. (hint, unplug it after charging.) Well worth it. We bought 2. Gave one to the wife's sister. She loves it.

Better than sleeping on the ground...

I've taken this on three camping trips now this summer. I have only charged the pump once and it is still working. I did invest in a foot pump after reading reviews of a poor pump, but so far I have not had any problems. I sleep much more comfortably with this mattress.
