Worth its weight in aluminum.

Talk about efficiency̶̶the Alps Mountaineering Sidekick Table weighs only two pounds and can support 200. The sidekick also folds flat, so you can take it anywhere you go and never be stuck seat- or table-less again.

Great table/chair

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It cant get any better than this. Use a table or chair. Perfect size and sturdy!

Seat or table lovin

Bought this as seat for putting on and off wading boots. Holds my weight perfectly.. (185 pounds) It compacts very nicely and is super lightweight which is perfect. Also is great for a campfire to hold your drinks and plate. Wipes up super nice.

Love this little table! It is the perfect size and height. I love how light it is and how it folds up, might take a couple tried the first time, but its smooth and efficient and then easily packs into the car.

    perfect little table

light, affordable, small, holds my drink.... what more could you want from a little camp table?

      Campsite charcuterie

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am a big fan of the campsite charcuterie board and sunset cheese boards so a small side table like this is essential to my car-camping packing list. It is very small and compact and easily fits into trunk space or on the car floor. For it's small size it is very sturdy. It makes for a great coffee table for your drinks and personal dinner table in front of the camp chair. It also makes for a great stool while cooking dinner if you are too tired to stand after a long day! For its fair price, it's a fun item to add to your camping inventory. And when I am not camping, I keep this in my yard for everyday!

      Gets it done

This table is very easy to pack up, take camping, and clean off. It is sturdy, however, due to being aluminum you just have to be more careful with it than you would be a steel table (duh).

        Gets the job done!

Great accessory for car camping if you don’t like eating off your lap when there’s no table around. Thinking it’ll also be a great multi-purpose item for all the times when a flat, dirt-free surface is an impossibility.

table or chair? both! and very light.

A great camping asset. so compact and lightweight - and strong. not to mention a very affordable addition to your camp comforts. I use mine in my large expedition tent.

          Sturdy, Versatile, Little Table!

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This very versatile, sturdy little table can be used for individuals for a meal, configured with four together as a coffee table, lined up side-by-side for a bench, or, grouped in six, used as a bed extender with foam on top in an RV to increase a full to a king! The size and light weight make the table easy to bring along and tuck in a carry bag, backpack, vehicle or storage carrier. I love them!

          Awesome bang for the buck!

These are perfect for those who don't want or don't need a full sized cooking/dinner table. Perfect sized for a single dinner plate and beverage. Can double as a night stand. Ultra portable for car camping.
Pretty darn tough as well. very happy with these little tables!

          Love this little work horse

Using while camping in our teardrop trailer. Very Verdot all, with 200lb capacity. Step stool, ottoman, and a side table even.

This sturdy low table folds with a flick, sits well on uneven ground, weighs little, and has a million uses.

Quite Cooking Campfire Meals w/ Dirt!!

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this table. It is very lightweight, quickly unfolds for use, and it very durable. While some camping spots may have a convenient picnic table, or perhaps you find a nice down tree or log to use as a makeshift table for meal prep, not all camping spots have these luxuries. With this very small and light table, you will always have a place to cook your meals after a long day in the great outdoors without the dirt ingredient. So, unless you like the extra texture in your food, grab one of these tables and never worry about the dirt again. I'm definitely buying another one to add to the camping quiver.

            Add some camping comfort

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought one on a whim a few years ago and was surprised how useful it is when camping that I just had to get another one. My wife and I choose not to eat at a table when camping, so these small tables come in handy for plates or drinks. And when hanging out around the fire, or when enjoying a star-filled night without a fire, it is so great to have a little table for mugs of tea, or whatever we may be drinking. Love the easy collapsing design and the ability to handle weight because inevitably someone sits on it.

On a recent car camping outing my sister jokingly commented that we needed a cocktail table around the campfire. We've been camping 60 years, never seemed to need one before... I laughed.....

But..... she was right. And this was the perfect answer! Doesn't weigh much. is solidly built, folds up flat, a no nonsense, real quality thing and just the right height. I bought 3 - 1 for table, and since we now have to buy local firewood bundles and never seem to have a log around anymore, 2 to put our feet up on!

And they work fine as a nightstand in the tent too!

Then we found how handy they were when putting our kayaks up in the roof racks on the car. (we seem to have gotten shorter and weaker... lol) Neither of us is dainty, we are both over the 200 lb rated load, but they held us - and the boats - just fine as we loaded and strapped them down. Handy!

Sitting around the fire ring here at home, they came out and made a nice evening even more pleasant. Positively civilized!

And now...... they don’t fit into the tiny hatches on our kayaks, but they bungee to the deck easily enough. Was nice to have a place to sit for lunch along the creek!

How did we get along without them for 60 some years? Great product at a great price.

Update:We've had them for a year now, and love them as much today as we did the first!. No problems, they just do what they are supposed to. We found them handy seats in our photo blind! I'm sure we'll find more uses.

I'm here today to buy another set as a gift for friends who admired them.

Oh, by the way, we found that we can put 3 of them in a Camp Chef griddle bag for easy storage/transport.

            Nice little stool/table

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This little stool/table is light, sturdy and rather adorable. However I think it's a bit confused of its identity... It seems like a stool but it could be a small table, if you're sitting on the ground and only need a table to put your beer on.

            These are awesome!

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

They don't weigh anything, they fold flat, you can sit on them or use them as a table...how awesome is that? I bought two and I'm buying two more because they are just that convenient. When we camp with groups, someone always forgets their chairs and now we can share! ...or use them for little tables.

            High quality construction and material

            • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these on a whim and didn;t know what to expect when they showed up. My alps mountaineering lounge chairs, which kick butt comfort-wise (car camping only :-) ) are missing the all important cup holder. I was hoping for these to be the solution, and at this point I think that they probably will function in that manner. Very compact when folded down, nice gauge of metal used in their construction and very smooth folding action. Hopefully with such a compact base they won't fall over too much on various ground surfaces. It's a quality product overall I would say.
