- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Yes its very heavy, but I wont be toppling over in it while sitting in it...its very sturdy and durable. Im a woman, 5'8" and 135 lbs and it doesnt feel big when I sit in it. The carry bag has backpack straps which helps with carrying and its length is about half my height making it awkward and clumsy, but I can manage. I would not recommend this if youre hiking, but its perfect if you dont have to carry it very far.
Made for people larger than me

The chair is sturdy, heavy and a quality product. If I were 250 lbs., I bet it would be a pretty comfortable chair. I am 5'10" and about 170 lb. and this chair is just plain too big for me. I've been on the search for a camping chair with lumbar support since my 3rd back surgery and so far the Lafuma Cham Elips is the only one that fits an average sized person who wants good lumbar support.
This chair does fold up nicely, has a quality carrying bag, and has a thick frame. The inflatable lumber pillow simply slides into a pocket in the back of the chair and can be inflated to your liking.
Pretty solid chair for folks bigger than me.
