I don't want to get out of bed.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This thing is more comfortable than my bed at home, seriously. It's HUGE though, so make sure it'll fit inside your tent!

Great after aeration

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Pluses - Very comfortable. Does not squeak like other cots I have used, though I have only used government cots. I am strong enough to set it up. I did not need instructions to set it up.
Minuses - Horrible plastic smell at first. Do not setup inside a house.
Warning - This cot is wide. I love it that way, but make sure it is not too big for you.

Great Cot

I bought four of these at a greatly reduced price a few years ago. They are too large to fit in most two person tents. They are also too heavy for backpacking for multiple days. They come with a great canvas style gear bag. They are very durable. If you are going to use them for car camping, they will work great in most 4 person tents. Great quality. We have progressed into multi-day backpacking hiking camping trips. So they are used mostly for two events. When we have to fit more visitors in r house than there are beds, and when we car camp two or .three times a year. In both situations I and my kids like there better than inflatables. I am 6'1, 230, 46 chest, 36 waist. The x-large is plenty big for me. The cot is firm but not firm enough to be uncomfortable.

Great for the price

When I'm car camping this is a perfect match. It's light weight compared to my other one. Not as sturdy but still good enough for car camping. It's wide and has plenty of room. It matches up perfectly with my ThermaRest Dreamtime sleeping mat.

    Great Choice!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had this cot for about 5 years now and I love it. I'm 6'4", 250 lbs and this cot suits me well. With a 4" Thermarest mattress, it's nearly as comfortable as my bed at home. Yes, it's rather heavy but for the quality of sleep (vs sleeping on the floor of my tent) weight isn't really an issue. It's always in exactly the same place in the morning so it definitely doesn't "move all over the place". If you'll spend much time sleeping on a cot, get an extra large one like this. You'll be glad you did.

    I used to hate cots

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This one is heavy to lug around. It is great to sleep on. It feel rock solid to me, level, well built and uses good materials. It's been camping a bunch of times - other campers/ex-military campers like it a lot. People come over for a weekend and we have more people than beds, people sleep soundly on it - even ones not used to cots.

    Buyer beware

This cot is very unstable. It looks sturdy until you use it. It moves all over the place. Poor quality!!
