Gore-Tex Performance Comfort includes the reliable waterproofing Gore-Tex is known for, but Performance Comfort provides more breathability for active endeavors and warmer weather. Aku added its innovative Air 8000 mesh to the strong suede upper for enhanced ventilation and extra comfort.
Underfoot, the Transalpina features Aku's IMS³ Internal Midsole System to give you a great stride over rough terrain. This system includes a cushy EVA layer, a stable polyurethane layer, and a custom-fit footbed. Aku also added an Exoskeleton for long-lasting structure and support for seasons on trails that seem to last for miles. Vibram's Cloud sole uses a rugged and innovative lug pattern that seems to turn hard trails into the fluffy white stuff in the skies.
