This is exactly the environment the Airblaster Beast 3L Jacket was built for, a backcountry-first shell that takes 30,000mm waterproofing and 20,000g/m² breathability seriously and delivers both through the full arc of a hard day in the mountains, from the cold pre-dawn approach to the last powder turn of the descent.

Airblaster constructed the Beast 3L around their Eco-Vortex 3-layer laminate using a fully recycled outer shell, fully seam taped throughout and finished with a PFC-free Rudolph Biofinish Eco-DWR treatment that sheds snow and moisture without environmental compromise. The defining feature of this jacket is the 2XL mesh-lined venting chest pockets, oversized by design to maximize airflow on sustained uphill efforts and sized specifically to store splitboard skins so they stay warm and ready for the transition. A YKK Aquaguard® waterproof center front zipper seals the most vulnerable point of the shell, the 3-way adjustable hood with laminated brim locks down over a helmet fast in changing conditions, and zippered underarm vents provide a secondary ventilation option on less demanding sections of the approach. Adjustable hook-and-loop cuff closures with elastic thumb loops seal the sleeve end against wind and spindrift, and a removable powder skirt in 100% solution-dyed taffeta seals the hem on the deepest descents of the season.
