Adidas Supernova Sequence 9 Running Shoe - Men's

Make it personal.

Tired of running shoes that look great but just can't connect with you? With the Adidas Men's Supernova Sequence 9 Running Shoe you'll have a running shoe that finally understands what you need. Engineered with an eye toward stability, it features Stableframe technology to give you a personalized running experience.

The Stableframe EVA midsole works with the boost foam to adapt to your running style, so you get a customized feel based on your unique running stride. The boost midsole delivers better energy return than any other cushioning material for a lively feel with each stride. Unlike EVA, boost performs consistently whether temps are frigid or scorching, and it won't break down so you can keep pushing year after year. Torsion System technology is designed to guide the foot's rotation around the midfoot for optimal transition from midfoot stance to forefoot push-off. Rounding things out is a durable Continental rubber outsole that offers superior traction in both wet and dry conditions.

Pretty Good Road Running Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 12.5

I recently switched to Adidas from Nike and the Supernova Sequence 9 was my introduction. It is a nice shoe! I like the boost cushion and the torsion control and support seem to be great for my mild pronation. I normally wear 12.5 in Nike, so I went with 12.5 in Adidas, and I feel like they are a little bit big. Not a huge issue, but I wish they were a bit more snug. I find myself tying the laces really tight to compensate. Like the shoe, but if I could go back I would get a size 12.

Comfortable Running Shoes

I got these shoes for morning jogs around my neighborhood. They fit snug to my feet and feel comfortable on my arches and heels. After a couple runs (which are only a couple miles per run) they have performed great and felt comfortable and light on the run.

Stoked With My New Adidas Running Shoes!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: US11

I love running and I've always worn Adidas road running shoes. I bought these when I moved to the USA and I've really enjoyed using them. I like a neutral shoe and I find these great for my 20km or 30km a week.

Unanswered Question

Are these US or UK sizes?

It's all about that boost.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 11.5

I picked up a pair of a month ago. I've been able to put some miles on these. I'm an Altra and Hoka user but recently been able to use brooks ghost 9 and Adidas Supernova 9.
some things I like:
Boost- reduces fatigue over the long runs.
Continental sole- grippy durable, doesn't add a lot of weight.

Some things I don't like:
Tung- too padded extra weight
extra plastic everywhere- overbuilt for a road runner (cut the weight)

This shoe is overbuilt for a road runner and under built for a trail runner. It's like it can't find it's true identity. Overall I like the boost but it's really not enough to make up for the extra weight. However, if you need a lot of support you would like these shoes.

Love Them

I just got a pair of these the other day but since I have I cant take them off. When running each step feels better than the last and with the boost you feel the energy. Personally my feet heat up quickly but with all the air vents I do not have to worry. Not only have I ran in them but I basically wear them everyday and can not say enough about how much I like them. Not to mention but I get the most compliments. Overall if you are looking at these shoes you should go ahead and grab a pair.

Henry have you always been an Adidas user or did you make a switch...the reason I am asking is I have mainly been a Asics user and I wanted to know if you liked the difference coming from another shoe or its a great shoe based off of the other Adidas you have worn?

Thanks

Hey Charles,

I have jumped around a bit but mainly Nike, Salomon, and Adidas. I personally really like the Boost technology over the rest though. The rebound is incredible and the comfort last all day in any condition.

New favorite running shoe

Received this shoe approximately 3 weeks ago and have ran in it consistently during that time- 5-6 days each week. Was amazingly surprised at the comfort and the aspect of return energy. No sore knees or shin splints in the trial period and found the rebound or return energy aspect is real and significant. Thinking that I was just imagining the rebound effect, I put on my Aesics Gel Nimbus immediately after running in my Adidas and realized it is real! The Aesics just didn't provide the extra "Spring" that I was feeling in the Adidas. The Adidas padding isn't gooshy or too soft, but stable and provides and sufficient cushioning to avoid injury.
Lateral and heel cup support of the shoe is quite good as well.
Only challenge for me and those with a wider foot, would be that the shoe seems to be more oriented towards a medium/narrower width foot.
