Why We Like The Smartwool Intraknit Thermal Merino Base Layer Bottom
Cold-weather adventures call for Smartwool's IntraKnit Thermal Merino Base Layer Bottom. As we get after it in plummeting temps, the merino wool's natural insulating and moisture-wicking properties keep us from neither catching a chill nor overheating, so we can stay in that happy medium as we summit the peak. Thankfully, merino also fights off funky odors, so if we work a little harder we don't have to worry about offending the rest of the crew at the end of the day.

Nice thermals but size up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These thermals are better for athletic endeavors, especially in the knee area, and for cycling... but they are tight enough to warrant sizing up.

Comfortable and warm! Best base layers!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So warm and comfortable! I've been a Smartwool socks fan for years, but this was my first pair of Smartwool base layers. Fits perfect and is comfortable for all day wear. Got them for skiing, but I frequently work outside for my job and they're great under my jeans as well.

I would buy again without hesitation.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic fit and comfort. Soft, stretchy, nice waistband and just the right thickness. Still feel warm and comfortable even when my ski pants leak! I'm 5'6", 138 pounds and purchased the medium.

Tighter than the classic.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the same size that fit great in the classic thermal and the waist line was too tight and uncomfortable with these. I liked them but had to send them back to get a size larger. If your border line I would definitely size up on the Intraknit.

The "articulated knee" sits above the knee.
I won't spend the extra money again. The "articulated knee" sits above the knee. And it's not just me, review photos and photos on resale sites all show this.

Didn’t get even to wear and it ripped
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I washed these before wearing them went to put them on. As I pulled them up, they ripped — and they are not even right. Disappointing. Wish I could get a refund
