Why We Like The Outdoor Research PackOut Compression 15L Stuff Sack
The simplest way to get big, bulky items to pack down small, the Outdoor Research PackOut Compression 15L Stuff Sack is a lightweight, water-resistant stuff sack for semi-dry storage when backpacking, kayak camping, and traveling. The two-strap system lets us cinch down our pack while the roll-top closure seals out dirt and light moisture. We appreciate that it's just as lightweight, durable, and weather protective as OR's other PackOut Stuff Sacks, but also has a reinforced bottom.

Nice compression sack, love the shape.
I have for a while been looking for a compression bag that functions like this rather than then end to end, like most others. I like the broader opening, as I use this to pack my hammocking equipment for winter use, and these pack down in the bottom of my pack side by side fairly well. I looked at the Osprey Straitjacket, but those didn't get good reviews in the old style, and I won't pay full price for the new ones. I have the 10 and 15 liter models and will buy the 20 so that all my winter hammock equipment fits in one. The sale made them an even better value.

Excellent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this to stuff my OR Helium Bivy, sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, sleeping pad, and pillow into, all assembled and ready to go. This way, when I get to the stopping location, I just pull it out and and toss it down. Good to go! All in all, it's a super compact and super versatile 5lb sleep system that has water resistance and compressibility, and this bag enables me to keep it all together. Love it! Perfect for my uses :)

All around good compression sack
I Use this compression sack for my sleeping bag/system. It works well and is designed so it would be hard to rip out as I have done in the past with other sacks by stuffing to tight. The material is light weight so you don't add too much weight to your gear.

Wow. This is trash.
So, I received credit for a decades old OR stuff sack that finally wore out and ordered this. It is completely disheartening that a company that once sold bullet-proof gear has succumbed to selling such garbage. You millennials may unknowingly accept this as top-of-the-line stuff, but it clearly isn't. Too bad.
