Size confusion
I never really got to try these shorts out because of so much confusion about the fit and what size to order. An online retailer that sells these shorts said straight out to order one size down. Reviews on this sight seemed to confirm that the shorts are sized too large, and based on the information of reviewers of about my shape and size, I ordered size 10 though I always order size 12. Well, the shorts were too small—I could barely squeeze into them and they definitely weren’t a loose fit as described. I returned the shorts and didn’t order the size 12 because I wasn’t sure they would work for me even if I could fit into them. So my only comment is, if you want the loose fit described, order your normal size.

good quality, overly loose fit
These feel sturdy and the color is great. But for me they fit in an unflattering way. I am 5'7" 129 lbs. Started with a size 4, had to return bc they were falling off. Exchanged for a size 2, but the leg holes were very loose, making me look large over all. A more slender cut would be more flattering, at least for me. On the plus side they were very comfortable!

I’m in LOVE!!!
I’m soooo in love with these shorts! I have 3 pair and I want 3 more!! I do have the butter which run large I wear a size 6 and ordered a 10!! They fit perfectly! However in these I wear a size 6! They remind me of my childhood Op cord shirts but a more refined, mature version!! Wish they would ale the Oahu Butter in White!!! Once you buy one pair you will want all the colors!!!

I got a 12 and fits well. I’m curvy with a tummy and full butt. 14 would have been a looser fit, but 12 is perf!

Happy colors/short
This is my 2nd purchase of the 6” Oahu midrise for a total of 5 pairs of shorts. They are comfortable stylish, fit perfectly and come in a wonderful happy array of colors. I have gone down a size for this purchase, the others I still wear but with a belt. Would highly recommend for your summer shorts.

So far, so good
So far, so good. I was relying completely on reviews to buy these shorts and am adding my own here to keep that chain going for others! The shorts are nice quality, the sizing is definitely one size off (so go down one size from your normal), and the colors are great. I got both olive (which is more like a light green and will be a good neutral) and dark fawn (which is totally a dark purple, yay!) I haven’t had them long so can’t talk about longevity or how they wash/wear over time. The length (6”) is just right. And pockets! (Back ones fit my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is a big chunker)
