    Killer Chair

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

While I love the earth and the ground it's really nice to kick back and relax in this chair! Perfect for car camping or hanging out at a bbq. The low stance puts no pressure on the legs so you can really get comfy. Love this chair!

    Great Chair

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased this chair as a gift and it is perfect. Comfortable and lower sitting style that is great for the campfire, beach, or show. A great chair for any use.

    Great Beach Chair

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Sits low, holds a few beers in the cooler pocket and the backpack style straps on the bag make it easy to carry.

    Pure laziness

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Camp chairs are the best to have around!
    - The are great porch seats.
-This one does sit pretty low to the ground so be careful that you don't just plop down in it.
-The cup holder is a must have!
-The beer cooler! whaaaaa, this is why its great for lazy people who don't want to go to their cooler to grab another beer.
-Also, instead of using it as a cooler my friend used it and said they put their little bit of trash in it.
-Great buy, would be a great affordable gift too.

    Great Lounge Chair

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Sits low to the ground and lets you lounge. The cooler pocket is a great feature!

    Camp Must

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Great camp chair for car camping and sporting events.
Packs away easily, very comfortable and holds lots of drinks!

Sit back and enjoy a cold one...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Although a little heavy to lug on a hike or backpacking trip, this Getaway Chair is ideal for summer leisure time and car camping. It is impressively comfortable, easy to assemble and the mesh is breathable for those long days in the sun. The chair does dip pretty low so if you have bad knees or weak legs I would recommend considering other options. And like every other reviewer, I agree that the best feature is the insulated beverage cooler that easily holds up to 4 ice colds brews for after your hike or bike ride. Remember to get a 2nd chair for your lady (or man)!

Picture below was taken on Antelope Island outside of SLC, Utah.

Sit back and enjoy a cold one...

it holds 4 beers in the arm cooler!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

these are perfect for sitting around the campfire. they are low, mesh so you don't overheat and they hold 4 beers in the built in arm cooler! It just doesn't get better than that!

    Killer lounger

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

More comfortable that the standard folding chair. It doesn't dig into your legs at the edge of the chair where the webbing connects the the front legs. The pictures don't quite show it, but this chair sits pretty low with a sloped back. The insulated pocket is pretty cool also.

I picked up this chair about 1.5 yrs ago

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Got it on a daily deal for 30 bucks. Have to say in the realm of comfortable (for my 5' 6" frame) its amazing. The full mesh seat bucket allows an incredible amount of air to reach the body. Its low set, slightly reclined, seating position is perfect.

I've not had any issues with campfire heat causing problems with the materials. Not sure how close the other reviewer was sitting to the heat, but at 3~ feet I've had no issues.

The chair is a little heavy and long when collapsed. Definitely wont fit in a water tight bulkhead of a kayak, doesn't fit my Necky Manitou 146r.

Overall chair is durable, very easy to clean (mesh) and still looks great after a year and half of use. Simply put, I love this chair.

    Secrets revealed!

After answering the same question three times I thought it would be easier to post a link as a review.

Amazingly complete specs of this chair can be found here. Includes dimensions, weight, features, etc. Quite nice detail actually!

Does anyone know the weight of this chair?...

Does anyone know the weight of this chair? I like the dimensions and structure but weight would be a slight concern for me when kayaking and canoeing on weekend trips on shallow Missouri rivers.

      Best Answer

Heavy. Alps says it weighs 7.5 pounds.

      Good and Bad...

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Sits well. Don't get to close to the campfire, melts quickly. The 2 can cool bag on the armrest makes closing and getting into the bag difficult.

      Hey Mary,

Lexi just answered this question just below. "12 inches in the front of the seat and 10" in the back. "

What is the height of the chair when collapsed? Fit in standard large suitcase?

It's 32" tall when fully folded, so it's unlikely to fit in a suitcase.

      Bummer! Thank you. :) R

      Great camp chair

It sits a little lower to the ground which to me is more comfortable. Nice mesh backing to keep airflow to your back which is important in Southern California. So far it is holding up great. Although my wife and i don't weigh 300 lbs, our kids like to jump on our laps and it has held up to it. Cup holder is great, although I wish it would be big enough to hold a nalgene. Cups and cans fit just fine though. I like the little cooler deal on the other arm, keeps my drinks cool and close.

All in all, nice chair, sturdy and comfortable.

When the chair is set up and you are sitting in it, about how high off the ground are you? (In inches or feet)

Hard to tell from the pictures - does this...

Hard to tell from the pictures - does this chair have 2 armrests?

        It does.

Yes, two armrests, one has a cup holder, the other has a little cooler to keep about 2 cans cold

        Comfy, but design issues

Yep, the chairs are very comfy and lightweight. Even the insulated pocket (which we thought was corny at first) came in handy on a hot Main Salmon river trip.

BUT... there are 2 serious flaws:
#1 - Once we used these chairs in a sandy environment, it was next to impossible to get them to fold back up. We tried cleaning them, lubing them with silicone. Nope. Seriously spent about 1/2 hour one morning trying to figure out the problem. And this was with both chairs that we purchased. In the process of trying to push them closed, the screws at the bottom of the legs that go into the rubber feet just popped right out.

#2 - The carry bag is too small and just makes you spend more time trying to pack these chairs up and once you manage to get it into the bag, it looks like some of the frame is going to pop right through the material.

Waiting for the updated design to come out and maybe we'll consider purchasing them again. We returned the 2 we bought.

Very helpful. Mine would mostly be used on sandy beaches where I canoe camp, which rules this chair out.
