Montrail Wildwood TR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Run over it all with the Wildwood.

Montrail Wildwood TR Trail Running Shoe - Men's:

Designed with the urban trail runner in mind, the Montrail Men’s Wildwood TR Trail Running Shoe gives you the versatility to burn down the trails with full protection and stability and to pound the pavement with cushioned support and flexibility. An asymmetrical midsole provides flexibility during long road races, and the lateral flex in the outsole allows a natural range of motion. The heel crash pad absorbs shock on hard surfaces, and the Trail Shield layer protects your foot from uneven trail debris. The Gyptonite sticky rubber sole stays glued to everything from slick-rock scrambles to wet pavement.

Wildwood Trail

I wear Montrail Hurricaine XCR's most of the time. I bought a pair of these to see what they are like. This shoe has minimal arch support and in general a poor fit. These shoes are good general everyday walking arount shoes, for get trail running. Stick with the XCR's and Continetal Divides! Doug Phx AZ

comfortable shoe

great looking the black surface doesn't show dirt as much as a white shoe and the traction is good.It feels alittle heavy when running but overall worth the money! I own the hurricane ridge xcr trail runners which were also black/red and these are a good replacement-the only down fall is that their not gore-tex!

mushy

These what you'd expect of a trail-road hybrid--mediocre at both. They've got a ton of cushioning, but the run is clunky, like they don't want to leave the ground. The fit is baggy, inferior to the typical Montrail last--the 11 is usually a perfect fit for me but here it only works if I wear thick hiking socks. And by contrast with the zippy but austere look of the Streak, these look like hell. I got these for protection on very long runs, which they'll probably still be good for, but they're just not impressive shoes.

this shoe is great. my new favorite montrail. i've used them all, been through the Hardrocks (which are still the best for short to mid distance, rocky and rough trails) and like the Streaks (which are on the softer side). The Wildwood is a bit heavier than the Streak, but also more durable and stable, making it my choice for long distance trail runs.

Way Too Wide

I'm still mourning the loss of the Vitesse from the Montrail Line. I was told by Montrail Customer Service that the Wildwood TR would be a suitable replacement. NOT! The fit is nothing like it. Way too much volume in the forefoot. I wear size 12 in the Vitesse and Susitna, but my foot swims in a 12 Wildwood TR. Back they go!
