Yeti’s long been dedicated to female riders, advancing the notion that women didn’t need specific geometry to ride the same terrain — long before it became the norm. But, while bikes need not differ, shorts are a different story. The Yeti Norrie Shorts were created to meet the need for an aggressive, protective baggy, designed and sewn to fit women.

The fabric is a heavyweight stretch polyester that’ll hold up to nasty crashes, and it was finished with a DWR treatment to ward off rain and dew. At the waist, you’ll find silicone grippers inside the waistband to keep the shorts in place, and double snaps secure the shorts. Additionally, there’s a stretchy yoke at the back that allows the shorts to move with you, so the shorts fit well, but you don’t exert too much pressure on those snaps, which allows the shorts to stay where they’re supposed to.
