Norrie 2.0 Short

The Yeti Cycles Norrie 2.0 Shorts are the baggies you need for cranking up the trail between stages and flying back down. These enduro-style shorts are comfortable with or without knee pads, and provide plenty of coverage to protect your skin from overgrowth and the occasional skid. The Norrie 2.0 features 2-way stretch construction and a gusseted crotch to ensure you can move and shift as-needed to navigate technical terrain. Glide patches ensure that your pedal strokes won't be inhibited by friction, while a webbing adjustment and silicone grip strip hold the waistband in place as you cruise around switchbacks and execute drops.

  • Enduro-style shorts for training and racing
  • 2-way stretch construction ensures freedom of motion
  • Gusseted crotch eliminates restriction on your pedals
  • Webbing adjustment conforms the waistband to you
  • Silicone grip strip secures waistband position
  • Glide patches ensure smooth pedal strokes

Will like, need right size

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: Medium

I ordered a Med. per some other reviews. They are a bit too tight for me, and i didnt even have my padded liner underneath. For reference, I am 5'9", 142 lbs- typically wear a size 8.
Hips are wider. I am sending the Med. size back and will reorder a Large. I believe this will be much more comfortable, they are baggies after all. The length will be good for me too.
Very stretchy, not heavy. Having high hopes.

Fit not quite right for me

I really wanted these shorts to work. I loved the color, material, pockets (pockets are important). However, these shorts are not made for ladies with curvy figure. I am 5'6" tall and 145 lbs. I ordered a medium which fit fine in the waist but was much more snug through the hips than I care for (I wear a liner short underneath my baggies). I returned for a large, which fit fine in the hips but were too big in the waist. Even when I snugged the waist adjustment as small as possible there was still a significant gap in the back of the waist and I felt like the shorts would ride down on my hips. BTW, I did like the little straps on either side of the waist for adjustment - much nicer than the typical velcro adjustment on mountain bike shorts. So depending on your body type or if you don't mind a snug fitting short, these might work for you.

    Third time is a charm!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I love these shorts so much I bought a second pair!
    1) They fit a curvy, athletic figure without looking baggy.
    2) They stretch, but aren’t so thin they look bulgey.
    3) They fit my gigantic iPhone 7 Plus with it’s case, just barely, on the side of my leg where I like it.
    4) They were under $100!!!!
    5) Grey color is really nice, but I do wish there was another dark color.
I bought two other pairs to replace my beloved falling apart Terry shorts, and neither worked. The first was the updated Terry and they were too tight. The second was some I’ve always wanted try, Shredley, but the waist was too big AND bottom too tight! So this third time, and viola, curvy, athletic figure problem solved! This is no small feat as I am quite picky.

    Tough, versatile MTB shorts

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

I like these shorts on balance for their feel, durability, and easy to access large pockets. I think the sizing overall is a little off. I have the large, which fit well in the legs, but are too big in the waist and have to be fully synched down even if I have padded shorts on underneath.

I tried ordering a pair of Yeti MTB shorts in a medium and while they fit better in the waist, the legs were way too tight. I usually wear a medium or small in most shorts, but have athletic legs and am a bit curvy, which means Yetis have to be in a large to work. Only other minor complaint is I wish they were just a tad longer. There's a bit of a gap between the shorts and knee pads and I'm 5'5", so I imagine this is even more pronounced for taller riders.

On balance, well-made shorts with minor sizing issues. They are pricey, but once you have 1-2 pairs you shouldn't need any more for a long time.

    My favorite shorts

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

These are the only shorts I wear, they have changed the design a few times but I still love them. I ordered a medium at first because I read they run small but I returned them for a small and they fit much better. The fabric is a bit thicker than other shorts so they can be hot in the middle of summer, but they also hold up well. The pocket fits my phone perfectly so I don’t even notice it while I ride. They are also a great length to wear with knee pads.

My go-to shorts to ride in!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

They definitely run large. I had to return the first pair for a small. For reference I’m 5’5, 125#, not an athletic build. Waist is big, but adjustable. Comfy, stretchy and durable. I’ve worn them many times and they still look brand new. Pocket just barely holds my iPhone 7. Not sure they’re worth $110, but still my favorite pair of shorts.

    So tiny!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small

Let me start by saying I have two pairs of these from last year and they are my favorite bike shorts ever. Unfortunately, I could not get this year’s beautiful gunmetal gray pair over my booty! I was really disappointed because these are the best shorts out there. If you can get the sizing right you can not beat them!

    Great shorts!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wear a Medium in the Troy Lee Skylines and Ruckus. I wear a Small in Sombrios. The Small was a little too tight in the hips for me but the Medium was fit pretty well. The waist on the Medium was better than the Troy Lees or Sombrios. The winning feature IMO is that there is ZERO velcro on these shorts! Not in the waist, not in the fly, NOWHERE. THANK YOU!
The material seems durable and the pockets are great. Knocked off one star because the thigh pocket just barely fits my iPhone7 Plus.

Way too small. I'm usually a M-L. Look's like I'm an XL in this brand I guess. Buy size larger if you got a butt :)

      Great quality

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love the color and quality, I have fallen more than I would like and you wouldn't know it. The fit isn't amazing, that is why the 4 stars. The waist is too big, but you can definitely see my padding through the shorts. I would've liked just a bit baggier. I don't have a big butt at all. I am 5'9", 140lbs and wear the medium. The large was WAY too big. It seems hard to find great fitting longer shorts, so I'd probably order another pair.

      How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure around the widest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hip.
