Drop in, shred, stay warm.
Made for surfing in not-too-chilly water (XCEL rates it to between 56 and 64 degrees), the 3/2 Drylock Men's Wetsuit is about as tech as they come. Made of super-serious TD3 neoprene, the Drylock layers ultralight and warm V-Foam between a recycled polyester Quick Dry Thermal inner lining and Quick Dry exterior, to keep you warm when you're in the water and help you dry like lightning when you get out. It also incorporates Airprene insulating chest and back panels, which uses small, hollow chambers to trap air for maximum warmth and lightness.
All this would be for naught if the Drylock was uncomfortable or flimsy, but it isn't. The upper body has stitch-free Fusion Weld seams with internal taping, for maximum flexibility and comfort, while the lower body seams are glued, blindstitched, pressure bonded, and taped for maximum durability and waterproofing. Warmth gets a serious boost from the Drylock's donut-style wrist seals and NexSkin liquid neoprene ankle seals, which prevent flushing and heat loss, while 3D Durafflex kneepads are articulated and have ergonomic flex grooves to make catching waves easier than sitting on the beach. The Drylock's also remarkably easy to get on and off, with a Crossover neck entry and a watertight chest zipper that opens wider than a Great White's mouth (it's more comfortable, too).

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This suit is one of the best out there, Excel's top model. It will keep you very warm and also keep most of the water out. Like some other reviews say, its very watertight so it won't let much our either, be mindful of how much coffee you drink. You could wear this suit down to a water temp with boots and gloves while some others are wearing their 4/3's.. it really is that good of a suit. Flexible, warm, lightweight, watertight. You can actually see the water bead off when its brand new. good suit for sure.
what year model is this?
Don't Pee in the Suit
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great suit---keeps the cold water out and the warm water in. Water never flushes out, so be careful how much coffee you drink before you hit the surf.
Is the black model an older generation of the Drylock (different neoprene, etc.) and that's why it's cheaper
