Less dough, more flow.

Every rider likes a comfortable saddle, but some are more prepared to shell out serious coin than others. If you're looking to save some green for other upgrades but want a saddle that can do it all, the WTB Volt Race Saddle is a good call. The only difference between the Volt Race and Volt Pro is the padding — the Race foregoes the DNA padding in favor of WTB's standard padding, which doesn't offer quite the weight savings but keeps comfort levels high.

If you find yourself riding off the back of the saddle, the Volt features a raised 'whale' tail that tilts your pelvis forward and leverages pedaling efforts with greater efficiency. As you slowly migrate forward in preparation for a difficult climb, the front of the Volt offers greater support while you hammer. This versatility, the central channel, and efficient but flexible Flex-Tuned Shell all make it a solid choice for road and trail enthusiasts.

  • A do-it-all saddle that doesn't break the bank
  • WTB standard padding takes the sting out of trail chatter
  • Whale-tail construction keeps forward for pedaling efficienty
  • Sloped front offers a perfect perch for hammering up climbs
  • Ventral channel alleviates pressure to sensitive tissue
  • Flex-tuned shell is efficient, but has just enough give

Much needed upgrade

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Much more comfortable than the factory Marin saddle.

Gets the job done

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've always been a fan of WTB saddles, and the Volt is no exception. Coming off their Speed and Devo series prior, the Volt felt right at home and at a price that doesn't break the bank. I usually go up to this version as I don't prefer the Silver color on the lower end model, but it's still just as comfortable in case you're on a budget.

No more ischial pain

Bought saddle after measuring ischial space. Used saddle for 100K NUE ride and my butt was very happy. No more ischial pain. Taint felt good too.

    happy butt!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Pretty comfortable saddle for the price! not bad looking either

    Great saddle for the price!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Very comfortable as well as affordable.

    Good Value and comfort

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got this for my singlespeed that doesn't get ridden enough for me to justify a high dollar saddle. I was pleasantly surprised by the Volt. Good support and I like the width choices. Smooth and no places to get hung off when you slide off the back.

    Take a Seat

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Solid saddle that I put on my commuter bike. I will say it was a bit stiffer than expected but nothing too bad. Definitely much nicer than the 10 year old Bontrager saddle I was using before. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

    Hop on and ride

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Volt has proven to be my favorite saddle. Time and time again I find myself returning to this saddle after trying others. The profile is just right for me along with the length and width. Sure you can get a softer foam padding on the higher end models but for the money this is hard to beat.

    Saddle Up

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have no complaints about this saddle. It's affordable, relatively comfortable, and just the right width. I've used it multiple times now out on some Utah singletrack and my bum was happy the whole time. Super glad I saved some cash and went with the Volt.

Pretty Cool but a Firm Ride

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Not a bad option when you consider this came as the stock saddle on my 2015 Santa Cruz Bronson!

I would say it is very much on the firmer side of saddles though. However, given the price point you're not really going wrong and this does and will get the job done for you when you're out on the trail!

    Great saddle.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Does the job, haven't had any issues with it so far. Nice and comfortable.

    Great saddle.

    Works, but a little firm

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've seen some saddles advertised as "great for those who are usually on their feet". This isn't quite that bad, but it does have a wood-like quality to it that you'll notice if you're seated for too long. Nice option for short rides or technical trails where you're out of the saddle a lot, but if I was riding it on a long XC ride I'd go with something else.
