Wilderness Systems Pungo 100 Kayak

Small and sweet.

The Pungo 100 Kayak from Wilderness Systems finally gives us proof that it's not the size of the boat that matters. This tight boating package boosts beginner confidence and lets advanced paddlers enjoy an easy day on the lake. Load up with some snacks and beverages and enjoy a relaxing day of tooling around the lake or down a lazy river.

Designed with a touring take, while still maintaining playful ease, the polyethylene hull sports a modified V and hard chines. Rookie paddlers won't rock and roll the minute they sit down, and more prolific paddlers will enjoy easy tracking across flat water. The slightly pointy bottom lets you trace a straight line between two points, but it doesn't help the boat corner on a dime or carve a curvy turn.

The Phase 3 AirPro seat offers a plush spot from which to enjoy your journey. The SlideLock foot brace system puts adjustability at your fingertips so a host of different-sized paddlers can enjoy a custom fit at the flick of a switch. Safely stash a dry bag containing snacks and a camera in the stern hatch or under the deck bungee-rigging, and find sweet relief in the Comfort Carry handles when you're schlepping your boat to and from the car.

I love this kayak but I went all summer trying to adjust the "slidelock footbraces" without success. Anyone else have this problem or, better yet, a solution?
