Volkl versatility.

Not including Volkl's ultralight, mountaineering skis, the BMT 90 Alpine Touring Ski is the skinniest and most versatile plank in Volkl's backcountry collection. It might not hover the deepest, softest snow of the season like the 122,but you'll certainly have an easier time cutting through crust commonly found in the backcountry between storms. That's not to say that Volkl doesn't admire powder days like every skier out there; the BMT's rocker tip and tail keeps you cruising through the soft stuff without a hassle.

Volkl designed the BMT with a unique 3D. Ridge that tapers down to razor-like edges at the tip and tail to drastically reduce weight without compromising stability at high speeds. A full carbon jacket keeps the ultralight wood core stiff enough for advanced riders to enjoy themselves. The Ice.Off top sheet keeps snow off your skis when you're setting the skin track.

  • Volkl's versatile ski in the BMT backcountry collection
  • 90mm waist rides firm and soft snow with equal zeal
  • Tip and tail rocker navigates deep, untracked powder
  • Core composed of poppy wood and a full carbon jacket for stiffness
  • 3D. Ridge carbon reduces weight and enhances stability
  • Ice.Off top sheet keeps snow from sticking to the top

Recommended Sizing Guide

Your ski size is largely determined by both your skiing ability and your preferred style of skiing. For example, an expert skier in Vermont will ski a far different ski than an expert in British Columbia. So take a look at our chart and explanations and find your perfect fit. Your weight also plays a large factor in finding the right ski. If you are either under or over average weight for your height consider downsizing or upsizing, respectively.
