I was a little skeptical about this item but I wanted to try it on my clinchers. The thought of a 5 minute tire fixture versus 30 minutes replacing a tube was a no-brainer. I wanted to give it a shot. So, my back Vittoria tire and Conti tube flated and I put it to the test. The installation went well and it was super fast. I just plugged it in and gave it a slight push and it filled with foam. I gave it some time, about 10 minutes, and it was tight as a rock. It works!...not. Rode about 2 miles before I was riding on rubber and rim again. Totally useless. Never again. Ubered it home.
Did you rotate the wheel to distribute it after inflation?
I sure did.
Your problem was mixing Continental & Vittoria ... don't you know that's like mixing matter and anti-matter? You're lucky you didn't blow-up the galaxy!
No product works 100% of the time, and while it says it works on butyl tubes as well as latex tubes, I have found it to be far more reliable with latex ... but even with butyl tubes, it's worked for me more often than not.
