Vasque Monolith Low Hiking Shoe - Women's
VasqueMonolith Low Hiking Shoe - Women's

Up for anything.

While some ladies stay in shape with vigorous exercise at the gym, you’d rather get out on the trails with the Vasque Women's Monolith Low Hiking Shoes. A sleek and low-cut upper made from waterproof leather and abrasion-resistant mesh helps them fit in at the park as you speed walk and on the mountain as you hike, even if they encounter rain, mud, or rocks.

If you decide to go on a longer daytrip with a backpack, these shoes miraculously absorb the pain with their molded EVA midsole and dual-density EVA footbed so you’re able to return to the trailhead with a little extra gas in the tank. The versatile Monolith Low shoes also feature a durable Perpetuum last, grippy Vasque Monolith sole, and a secure speed lacing system.

Toe box squishes my toes

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

First impression after putting my foot into the shoe was that my toes have absolutely no room to spread out or move around, and my big toe is running into the end of the shoe very uncomfortably, but I think if I go a size up I would be sloshing around in them even more than I am right now! I'm pretty sure I tied them tight enough but they're still not staying on my heels very good. And the arch support is good on my right foot but not good on my left foot! That seems pretty inconsistent to me! Especially since my feet are pretty symmetrical! Unfortunately sending them back!

Nice shoe but not right for me

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 7

The shoe felt comfortable and looked tough. I ordered up a half size to a 7 like suggested but my ankle constantly slipped. I tried to tighten the laces and wear thicker socks but my toes would go numb and my ankle still slipped. I need a well fitting shoe for an upcoming Moab, Utah trip but looks like I'll have to wear my worn out trail shoes this time. :/ I had a similar pair of Vasques that I bought in 2014 that were amazing - and I wore a 6.5 in them, maybe I should have stuck with my regular size.

great shoes

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are true to size and feel goo right out of the box. They have ample support for day hiking and provide excellent grip and traction on steep, slippery and wet terrain. These would also work for shorter light backpacking trips.

Returning due to low arch support

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 8

Unfortunately, these shoes will have to be returned ): While they are comfortable right out of the box and feel quite light on the feet, there is hardly any arch support. Not exactly what I was hoping for in a hiking shoe. The search continues...

Also, my advice is to always go half size up with Vasque. I usually love their shoes but in every pair have needed an 8.5 instead of an 8.

No time to break in!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These shoes are perfect for spring, summer and fall hiking. I didn’t even have to break them in! They fit great and felt great the first time I put them on! I have put these to the test on a 8 day hiking trip into the challenging terrain in the Enchantments! My feet never feel tired or sweaty after a long day of hiking, and the y are also very light weight! Highly recommend!
