Broke on first use :(

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm really sad because I thought I did my research pretty well for a dual-use city/hiking backpack and was so elated by this bag! I loved everything about this, and after reading the other review that it was too big for her 5'2" frame, as a 5'10" woman I was super excited that it would be perfect! When it came, it was better than I could've expected - the padding is super thick and it's big, but perfect for what I was looking for.
I wore it for a 7 minute walk from my place to my sister's place tonight and the STRAP just fell off. It was rainy and dark, so I waited til I got to my sister's place to investigate and the stitching where the strap is attached to the backpack just was dangling now it's time to see what type of return policy/repair policy I can figure out. SO sad, because I really want this bag to work....but straps are KEY to a backpack :/

Nicely crafted-great details- very large

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Right when I pulled this backpack out of the box I knew it was well made. The deep color of the navy is gorgeous. There is an inner pocket that is padded, a felt lined pocked on the top and some nice space on the sides and front zipper. I am 5'2" and this was almost half the size of me. It was hard to pack because it was so deep and a little narrower than I'd expect for being so deep. All in all, I decided to return it because it wasn't worth the large size while not packing too much more than what I could fit in a Jansport by stuffing it. Love the brand though, and I'll look for a smaller bag.
