Because everything is better with merino.
Whether you've got miles to hike, a steep bootpack to climb, or you just need a solid base on a cold-weather camping trip, the Under Armour Men's Ridge Reaper 1/4-Zip Merino Base Top is a great choice for assuring core warmth with comfort to boot. Made from a sumptuous tri-blend of merino wool and a mix of synthetics, the Ridge Reaper wicks moisture away from your skin during activity, keeping you dry and cozy in a wide diversity of conditions. Plus, the merino features naturally occurring anti-microbial properties, so even after a long day on the trail or at the ski hill, the shirt will help keep funky odors at bay, meaning your ride home won't make you roll the windows down to offset the hard-earned stank.

- Q & A
Amazing mid layer for skiing!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Size Bought: XL
One of the first UA products I've purchased and it makes a great mid layer for skiing. The fitted cut keeps it close to the skin, without compression or getting baggy. The merino keeps it warm without too much bulk. I've used it a couple times with only a thin wicking layer underneath like the Arc' Motus and then just a shell. This combination keeps me plenty warm down to about 20° F. I'm a 42" chest and the XL gives me a compact but not compressed fit.
I liked it so much I bought a second one for when this one wears out.
