Rugged convenience for anywhere your travels take you.
The Topo Designs Travel Bag is your perfect companion for a short weekend getaway or a round-the-world escapade with no end in sight. Stowable backpack straps let you throw it on your back as you run to catch the last bus or hop on a ferry, but the three-sided zipper allows you to easily open it up for suitcase-style packing. The front zippered pocket conceals sleeves for your tablet and phone, in case you need to do a little work on your travels. There's also an internal laptop sleeve to keep your computer safe on crowded Bangkok buses. Side water bottle pockets help you stay hydrated from North Africa to South America, and better yet, the Travel Bag meets most airline requirements for carry-on luggage, so you won't need to risk losing it.

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion.
The Topo Designs Travel 30L Bag is one of the most versatile bags I've ever owned. Between all the different ways to carry it - backpack, shoulder pack, handle, (all these straps are also easily removed or hidden away) the list goes on, it's a great bag for travel either daily to work or on a quick weekend getaway. When I got this bag my immediate thought was , this would be an amazing bag for a university art student. It is roomie enough for a large laptop as well as any large portfolio or photo print pieces you might need to carry around from home to school and in between classes and it isn't bulky which is really great. It's also very well made and durable so you don't have to worry about the elements getting to your work. It would also be a great bag for a short trip if you're a light packer, if you're like me and are almost incapable of packing light you might want to go with something bigger as it is a thinner bag. That being said, as with all Topo bags I've had, I'm always impressed with how much fits into this bag and I have used it for 2 day weekend trips, it really is versatile and accommodates more than you might guess. All in all the Topo Designs Travel 30L Bag is incredibly versatile and its become my go to bag for daily work travels and quick trips out of town.
Perfect for 3-5 Day Travelling

I just returned from a six day trip up the California coast. I was required to bring along a wide range of attire. (business casual, workout, and 'going out' clothes) My Topo Designs' Travel Bag not only handled it all with ease but got several admiring comments from the locals. The Travel Bag (along with the 3 Pack Bags I use) is great for getting thru airports (fits easily in an overhead), jumping into a rental car, and walking thru the city with ease. These bags are so well thought out, extremely durable, and super stylish too. GET RID OF YOUR BORING BLACK BOX ON WHEELS AND GET A BAG FROM TOPO. You'll be very happy you did!
Perfect for weekend trips and more!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I forget where I ordered this backpack but I had ordered it for my Europe trip last year. I went to Paris, London and Iceland so I had to pack a fairly wide range of clothes. It was a bit tight but I made it work for my (approximately) 2-week trip.
This bag is HUGE. It's the essentially same length and width as a typical carry on luggage but not as deep. I feel like a turtle whenever I have it on my back. 😂 Even so, I usually wear it as a backpack for convenience sake. I also appreciate that the straps can be tucked away in the back. The first bag on Icelandair is free so I ended up tucking in the backpack straps (so it won't get caught in anything) and checked in the bag.
Since then, I've been using it for shorter trips. I love it because it's so easy to have it as my carry on and I can easily navigate myself through the narrow aisles in airplanes.
It's highly durable so I'll be using it for a VERY long time, which leads to the next issue. The only problem, if I had to pick one, is that I got it in the olive color. I wish I'd gotten it in black. I got sick of the olive color already; the yellow and red straps are cute at first but black is always classy and timeless. I still love my travel bag nonetheless and can't wait to take it on more adventures!
