Time to Play in the Snow.
The Topeak JoeBlow Fat Floor Pump is the first floor pump designed specifically to accommodate fat tire needs. With a huge barrel measuring 1.5 times bigger than regular floor pumps, the JoeBlow Fat pushes more air and will get you pumped up and out in the snow faster than your standard pencil-neck floor pump.
The JoeBlow Fat's TwinHead with air release button is compatible with Presta, Schrader, or Dunlop valves and lets you adjust the air volume in small increments for the perfect pressure. The JoeBlow Fat also features a fat tire-specific maximum pressure of 30 psi for wider psi increment spacing on the gauge and precise inflation measurements.
- Q & A
Good except for the head
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I was really excited for this pump as it is replacing a ten year old plastic floor pump. I really like the large pressure gauge and the ability to get tires dialed in more accurately which is critical for plus tires and light body weights. This is an upgrade to my old pump in every way except for the pump head. The head has a small lever that makes engagement and removal a pain. I will probably buy a replacement head or pull the head off my old pump
Good pump for larger tires
Bought this to use with my fat tire. Really solid pump with lots of volume. The vent button comes in handy when trying to bleed air from the tire to get the desired pressure.
Same question as Matthew K. Is it 15 or 30 PSI max?
It's 30 PSI; Pete's photo clears things up below.
The description says it has a 0-30 PSI range. The image of the gauge only shows a 0-15 PSI range. Which one is it? I am thinking of getting this for my plus bike and mountain bikes, so I will need to be able to get up around 25 PSI at times
30 PSI. See the photo below.
Add it to the list
When I got into fat biking I didn't really anticipate all of the specialized equipment I would need to buy. After purchasing all of the clothing and extra tools, this pump was the last thing on my list. It has a very sturdy construction as well as a comfortable grip and a precise gauge. It's noticeably more efficient than my older Joe Blow bike pump.
