Ultimate sleeping luxury for your base camp or car camping.

Therm-a-Rest claims the three-inch thick DreamTime sleeping pad is the most luxurious camping mattress ever made, and we happily agree. When you never carry your mattress more than the distance from your car to the tent, there's no reason to worry about weight—and every reason to make your base camp or car camping trip as comfortable as possible. A cushy foam pillow-top adds decadent comfort, while a removable stretch-fleece lining on top makes the DreamTime plush to the touch. Add in the most-durable nonslip bottom ever, and you have a super warm, super comfortable sleeping pad that'll last the years. Grab an extra DreamTime for your partner—the included pad connectors will easily turn two mattresses into a queen-size camp bed. Pair it up with a Camp & Comfort Stuff Sack for protection and portability.

    Exceeded My Expectations

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Historically I opted for the air mattress to give myself a little more lift off the ground, however, after some cold nights at higher elevation, the air mattress kept deflating just enough to result in discomfort and back pain. Gave this a try and after the first couple nights, it exceeded my expectations. The ability to add a little more air is great and the foam topper provides great comfort. Might recommend the Mondoking 3D if you are looking for a thicker pad, but so far, this has done great. I went with the XL as I preferred a bit more width.

    Perfectly Comfy

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Comfort = 10/10!! This sleeping pad is incredibly comfy, however it was simply too large for me. If you've got the room and need something ridiculously comfy, this is for you. If you're limited on space in your car camping setup, this might be too much. The fleece cover is removable so you can wash it, and it self inflates, which is awesome (you would NOT want to blow up this bad boy using your lungs!). A foam pillowtop makes it extra plush...like sleeping on a cloud. Just a really heavy, bulky cloud.

    Sweet dreams!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This mattress made sleeping of my girlfriend like a dream.

Thanks for the review! Super helpful to get this feedback out to the community.

Super comfy! But a big package to carry.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This mattress is super comfy. Very impressive. Bought it for my girlfriend for her first Burning Man, she slept on it for a week and loved it. I tried it and found it amazing... and it was harder going back to my super thin and old therm-a-rest.

On the other hand, it is a big mattress, and rolled up still is a pretty big package. It was one more piece of luggage to dispatch on the plane going back home... as it didn't fit into any of our duffel bags (even the 120L one).

    Excellent car camping pad

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

We used this pad during a weeklong vacation to Yellowstone and a few local outings since then. The pad is very comfortable, like sleeping at home. It is bulky to roll up, but worth the challenge.

Very comfy, not easy to roll up

I purchased this pad for a recent camping trip. The pad has a layer of foam on top of the air mattress, which makes this a very comfortable pad. It is a car camping pad for sure, rolling it up is not an easy process. However given the comfort of this pad, the roll up part isn't a problem.

Thanks for the review Michael. Hopefully you find plenty of time to use it this summer!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

100% car camping necessity. The DreamTime is the most comfortable sleeping pad out there. It's soft, cushy and pretty much puts you to sleep. The fleece cover is removable which is so convenient. Just toss it in the laundry after a long weekend of camping in the dirt and sand. The self-inflate feature is very nice. Roll it out, unload the rest of the car and boom, it's ready to go. If you have not used one of these before, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!
