A tent without a footprint is like a home without a foundation.

Prolong the life of your expedition tent with The North Face VE 25 Footprint. This footprint protects your VE 25 Tent's floor from sharp rocks and other abrasives, and gives you the option for fly-only pitching.

North Face VE-25 Footprint

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The footprint worked fine and did what it should protecting the tent floor. Backcountry was the one of the websites that carried the footprint for a great price. I am pleased with Backcountry's sales and service.

Extend your tent's lifetime

I been looking for this around the world and I found it in Backcountry, thank you very much. The footprint is very light and a great complement for extend the tent's lifetime. Greetings from Argentina.

    Great but...

This footprint is probably going to be great when used with tent and fly, but I bought it to setup the quick-pitch fly-only setup, and it is simply wrong. There are not enough grommets on the corners to set it up. Each corner (6) has 1 grommet hole, but there are 4 poles for the fly, and an additional 1 for the vestibule, so there needs to be multiple grommet holes in at least 4 of the 6 corners.
That being said, the construction is great, the size is perfect, the quality is exactly matched to the tent, it packs down super small and weights almost nothing.

think the footprint of an ancient VE 25 is close enough to use one of the new footprints?

Unless it suffers from rot or big tears, it ought to be just fine. I think the VE25 has remained largely unchanged for years.

I just got a VE 24 and was wondering if they had the same footprint?

Unfortunately the footprint is going to be different from the VE 24 to the VE 25.
