Sleep through sideways snow.

The North Face designed the Guide 0 Sleeping Bag in collaboration with Alpine Ascents International, a renowned international mountaineering and climbing guiding company. With alpine performance in mind, the bag was made with Heatseeker Guide insulation, which offers improved warmth and water resistance when you're in the alpine. It’s also 17% more compressible than similar bags, leaving a little extra space in your alpine pack for layers and food. Whether you’re taking the two-day route up Mt. Rainier or sleeping at the saddle of the Grand Teton, it’s easier to bear the cold alpine conditions knowing you’ll sleep soundly at night.

  • Dependable bag for comfortable nights bivouacked at high elevations
  • 0-degree rating handles all but the coldest weather
  • Heatseeker Guide insulation retains warmth in damp conditions
  • Fitted hood and draft collar prevent heat loss
  • 17% more compressible than comparable synthetic bags
  • Vaulted footbox creates more space for your feet

Very, Very warm

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I camped on some snow pack with this thing and was toasty the whole night. Not the smallest or lightest bag on the market, but a good deal that certainly gets the job done. Very satisfied.

Very, Very warm

Cozy!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used this for 3 nights in sub 40 degree temps, and it was a bit overkill. I should have ideally had a 15deg. bag but man, this thing is super cozy. Great loft, even when damp, and was warm and cozy every night.

Comfort is king

This sleeping bag is very comfortable and warm. The zipper works well and does not snag easily. All around great sleeping bag!

Snug as a bug in a rug

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My idea of camping is sleeping my van with a fan or AC if needed. I just ran down for an overnight MTB trip in St. George Utah and needed a bag to keep me warm though the night as the temps got down into the upper 20's to low 30's at night.
I bundled up in this bag with a T-shirt and my PJ's and pointed my 12v fan at my face for a blissful night of sleep. At 5'9" 175 lbs with a bit broader shoulder than most I found this bag to very comfortable, not as roomy as I would like but for a mummy style bag it was better than I expected. At no time did I feel the need to zip the bag all the way and hide from the elements. There was also enough room to stuff a small pillow in the bag with me.

I didn't see any pockets for a phone or other accessories, and the zipper worked really well with no issues zipping the bag onto itself. When packed up it's about the size of a large watermelon or you could say a basketball that's a bit oblong.

All in all I found this bag to be really nice.

Hey, did you find the pocket?
You can see a zipper on the draft tube where the temperature specs are written.

    Awesome Bag! Awesome customer service.

My daughter loves her new bag so much she has insisted on sleeping in it every night since Christmas. We finally had to hide it. It's warm, beautiful, durable, and the zipper works great. Haven't tested it camping yet but I bet it's going to be great. We got this for her because we camp in the high altitude mountains a lot and her other bag wasn't cutting it. We got her the adult men's bag, even though she is only eight because she's already really tall and in some years will be close to 6 feet, I'm sure. We know this bag will last her, so we thought ahead.

Backcountry was great. When the bag got lost in the mail they sent us a replacement before Christmas! Awesome customer service!

    Cozy as can be

I took this Sleeping Bag out on a Yurt in the High Uinta's with the sole purpose of staying warm in single digit temps. The Sleeping Bag passed the test!
