Calling this Thermoball is deceiving!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I am very disappointed with the jacket. Thermoball insulation lines ONLY the back of the jacket. The majority of the jacket is lined with inferior Primaloft Silver (i.e. sleeves, chest, and sides). It's very deceiving to call this a Thermoball jacket when only the back of the jacket is lined with Thermoball. While Primaloft Silver is a solid product, it will not insulate nearly as well as Thermoball. There are other issues: the jacket does not feature handwarmer pockets, no neck gaiter (even when fully zipped, it doesn't seal out the wind, too large of a neck opening), only one way pit zips, and the hood is not helmet compatible. I've been using TNF gear for a while now but lately, it seems TNF forgot its technical roots. I am 5'9, 145 lbs and the small works for me, its a bit long but I prefer the extra coverage when skiing.
