Awesome flannel, better service

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Large

Got this flannel in the mail a few days ago. The color, feel, everything was great. I was looking forward to it being my go-to flannel. Unfortunately it fits a little big. I was trying to figure out returns, and thought i would be on the hook for shipping, after getting free shipping originally. Luckily i talked to a gear head, who was able to help me right away! Outstanding customer service!

I wear jeans and a flannel shirt pretty much year round. This shirt is my idea of the perfect button up. The fit, the color, the weight. Everything is perfect.

Finding Flannel in All The Right Places

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

A dash of luxury distinguishes this garment from its flannel brethren. Upon first touch one notices the drop of heavy fabric, the buttery spill of long sleeves that reach far past the elbow (that's right, and past the pulse point too - and what is this? what luxury! - internal no see'-em elbow patches! The comportment of factory-fresh fabric is so intoxicating that I have taken a gentleman's vow not to wash the garment. Well, only time will tell on that score. In closing one quibble: contrary to what the good copywriters at Backcountry advise, this shirt has no internal passport pocket. Would all obstacles to travel be so slight. Yet ''O she doth teach the torches to burn bright'' But I digress, and good night.

    Solid Flannel

Overall a great flannel that's soft and so incredibly conformable. The only slight draw back is that it runs a bit large. I'm a consistent medium in most North Face products, and this was just a tad baggy compared to what I'm used to (but I still wear it often!)
