Sizing is strange

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: smll

I have 2 pairs of the Aphrodite Crop Panst in size small. They fit perfectly and the fabric is durable. HOWEVER, I just got the pair of Aphrodite 2.0 pants (full length, size small) and it was a big struggle to get them up over my hips. There is NO give in the waistband at all. Once I got them on they looked nice but it was almost impossible to get them off again. Not sure if I got a "lemon" or if this is the way the pants are made purposely. In any case, if you are a normal-sized woman, with normal sized hips, you won't be able to get these on and off comfortably.

Comfortable but not functional

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I love the fit of these pants, they are very comfortable. I was a bit concerned reading another reviewers comments about the thinness of the material and she wondered how they would hold up to snags. I wore my new pants yesterday and loved the comfort but the material did snag but did not rip on the thorny vines along the path. That doesn’t bother me much as th fact that the elastic in the hem is too flimsy to hold up the pants so I had to knot them to keep them up. With all of this said, I love the comfort so I will continue to wear them. Oh, one more dissapoitment is that I didn’t realize when I ordered them that there are no back pockets.

So Sad

Pants were great.
Lightly hiked in them.
I wore them a couple of times before their first wash, however, they didn’t make it out of the dryer. My community washer and dryers were too much for the pants and they melted in some spots. I’m entirely heartbroken because I didn’t get a good feel for the pants. When I pulled them out of the dryer I checked the heat the dryer was set at and it was set to normal so I’m a little disappointed and will be cautious when buying North Face products.

Very Comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

These pants a very comfortable and I think flattering. However, I don't thikn they will hold up well to rougher activities that involve being snagged on branches or scraped over rocks. They pill and snag a bit. But, they are very light and dry fast for travel. They also run slightly large for outdoor clothing brands.

Great Clmbing Pants!

Wonderful climbing pants, with stretch. I sized down and they fit well, I love that the bottom of the pants sinches up for comfort and style. Material is light and breathable.

    Love

Love the fit and style of these North Face pants. They are light and comfortable. I had my other NF hiking pants for over 10yrs before they started wearing too much. Bought these in two colors in medium. I'm 5ft 7in and 145#s.

    Love these pants!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

I love these pants. Super comfortable and look great. I bought them to go Thailand since I wanted to pack light and be able wash them myself if I needed to. I have 3 weeks before I leave though, so I've been wearing them hiking and for everyday wear. They have been good for hiking since they have a lot give/stretch to them. Also, they are lightweight enough that I can layer them for early morning hikes and not have to strip down and remove base layer as soon as the sun comes up. The reason I did not give them a 5 star is because they snag easily. I bought three pair, have worn each approximately 3-5 times and they all have at least 3 snags. And not from hiking through the brush! Just every day wear. They are going to look pretty ratty very quickly...

    So awesome!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I LOVE these pants! I am a very outdoorsy person, but I typically don't like wearing outdoorsy clothes for regular wear. These pants are an exception. They are so comfortable! And you can dress them up or wear them hiking. They are great for almost anything. I am 5'7", 120-125 pounds, with shorter legs and a longer torso and I got the Small, Short (not the capris, but the short length pant) and they are the perfect fit and length. I had tried on the regular length in a store and they were way too long for me, so I am so glad I found the short length on here. I will probably order them in black, too.

    My Go-To Climbing Pants!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS

I cannot say enough good things about these pants. I've got them in both the full length & capri cuts, but I always find myself going for my full lengths! They're breathable, durable, comfortable, adjustable, & layerable - what more could you want?! The drawstring waistband gives you the freedom to tighten or loosen the waist if need be, and the adjustable ankle ties allow full control of the length of the pants. There's a part of me that wishes there was at least one back pocket on these, but the extra zip pocket on the front makes up for it,
I feel prepared for any type of approach & climb when I've got these on. I can't wait to purchase them in more colors!

    I seriously love these things...

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS

I have a 25" waist, 35" hips and purchased the XS, which fit perfectly. Comfortable, great fit through the hips, fun extras like a drawstring at the ankle make these a fun, easy, great looking pair of pants. I can't say enough good about them.

    Great hiking pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium

I've recently switched to hiking in long pants (sun screen allergies) and these pants have made the switch painless. I hate zip offs, it's hard to find hiking pants to fit me (5'7, 120 #), and often the fabrics are too stiff. These are exactly right for me. I fit perfectly into a medium (they're a tad long with sneakers, but right on with hiking boots) because of the drawstring waist, but they fit great through the seat and legs, too. The fabric is really soft, and breathable enough. The fit is loose, so I can climb, scramble, hike, stretch, whatever and they're always comfortable. Most important to me is that on really hot days of backpacking, I am not melting. Durability... not bad. I had a pair last through 6 months of backpacking, but did sustain a small rip on the bottom of the pant leg.

    Amazing pants

I love love love these pants. Flattering and comfy - I usually wear an 8/29/medium and the medium fit great. The regular length is quite long, however. If you are 5'4" like me you will definitely have to hem them.

      Light and comfy

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
      • Fit: True to size

I picked these up for a friend and these pants are soft, stretchy and all around just comfortable. She thought that the ruching down the legs would be way cuter than it actually is on her though. They fit well, feel good and look OK, but that ruching just makes them look a little bulky and odd. At any rate, though she doesn't love them as much as she had hoped, they will make a great addition her hiking and outdoor wardrobe. But the feel of the material is plush the elastic waist and the overall comfyness as well.

      look good and feel good

      • Fit: True to size

I bought this for my wife, and she loves it very much

      Great lightweight pants

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium

I bought these pants to use for hiking/backpacking on hot days to minimize needing to use sunscreen (allergies). I've only used them for hiking and walking the dog so far, and I absolutely love them. They flex in all the right places, are loose enough to be comfortable all day, and look great for wearing in town, too. I don't know yet if they'll be super breathable for hot weather, but they're very comfortable with temps in the 50s - 70s. I've got them in graphite gray (awesome color) and moonstruck (which might work better when it heats up again). Super comfortable!

      Look good , feel good

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these for one of my climbing buddies. She loves them so much she bought the 3/4 leg ones as well. She uses them for climbing and casual wear because they look so great. The nylon fabric is great for those fall mornings on the wall when you need your clothes to keep you just a little warm but still breath. I really like these pants.

      Run 1 size big

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: Small

I ordered the black small/regular inseam and I am STOKED about how nice these are. They have a relaxed fit-looser than what I expected, but not baggy enough to warrant returning. They're super thin and light, but protective against cold. I wore them over my workout tights to shovel snow and felt fine.
I like the drawstrings at the bottom. I'm too short to wear them w/o dragging, so those are useful. I ordered a 2nd pair in XS/Short inseam (from another website) and they were a little more fitted and perfect length. These pants are very stretchy, comfortable, I can't wait to wear these for the rest of my life :) I wish they had more colors, I'd get them all.
